Your team will bring critical customer, market and data insights together to help guide our product development as it intersects cutting edge technical capabilities, customer needs and market opportunities. Containers and the cloud native design pattern has revolutionized every single online industry, we are the team in Azure that designs and builds a common OS and platform powering Windows containers on the Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure Stack HCI and other cloud/hybrid Kubernetes offerings. You and your team will partner with groups across Microsoft in delivering impactful experiences that empower Windows Server and Azure customers including many first party services to build and modernize applications using containers and cloud native technologies Kubernetes across cloud and edge. Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a team of product managers - deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

  • Analyze customer and market signals to identify gaps and opportunities

  • Drive a team culture which deeply understands customer needs and pain points to influence the design and priority of the product backlog

  • Act as a subject matter expert in customer conversations and escalations building trust with customers and communities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and leads teams to collaborate with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to identify and/or refine product release criteria, customer acquisition, usage, retention, and monetization strategiesDevelop and measure team objectives and key results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field of study; OR relevant job experience in lieu of a degree

  • 6+ years of experience building/shipping products and/or services as a Program Manager, TPM, Product Manager, Business Planner or Developer capacity

  • 2+ years of people management experience or related skills (proven coaching and mentoring skills etc.)

  • Open-mindedness, i.e. growth mindset vs. fixed mindset
