Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build on AWS.

At AWS, security is our top priority. As a Principal Product Marketing, Security for AWS, you will engage our customers and prospects to help them understand how AWS is designed to be the most secure cloud. You will define the strategy for how we reach our customers through thought leadership and awareness programs as they build using AWS. You will be creating the most compelling thought leadership content to help customers understand the use cases and value propositions, and building the right thought leadership marketing programs to drive awareness and customer engagement. You will also work with the security teams to shape the vision and prioritize thought leadership programs. You will get to work on a rapidly growing business and have a big impact every day.

This role will sit in Seattle, WA, Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, or Santa Clara, CA. Relocation from within the U.S. offered to these locations only.

Key job responsibilities

• Own security thought leadership content and strategy

• Build thought leadership content and leverage organic channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding of AWS security

• Develop detailed thought leadership content plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, awareness campaigns, and field enablement plans

• Own related launches and define messaging for new areas of portfolio

• Build new use case content and value propositions for service offerings

• Work at both the strategic and tactical level of champion bold and creative ideas

• Define business metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related campaigns

• Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences

• Work effectively across AWS with groups such as security teams, product managers, field marketing, digital marketing, sales, and business development to achieve our joint business goals

Basic Qualifications

  • 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creating GTM initiatives at scale

  • Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, product management, analytics, UX, and research

  • 5+ year’s experience in product marketing with cloud and security technologies or go-to-market programs for security

  • Experience working with thought leadership and awareness marketing programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
