Principal Product Manager - Amazon Web Services - Boston, MA

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager for our Hybrid Storage and Data Transfer services, an area that is seeing accelerated adoption. This portfolio of services includes Storage Gateway, AWS DataSync, and AWS Transfer for SFTP, which simplify integration of on-premises applications and data with cloud services and storage.

As a product management leader, you will part of the larger technical community at Amazon. This community forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior leaders to develop business targets and resource requirements, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire talented team of engineers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative and operationally sound solutions rapidly.

We are looking for an experienced product manager thought leader to help us grow and operate this our hybrid storage and data transfer business. In this role you will be responsible for thinking big, setting direction and priorities, driving definitions, delivering results, growing customer adoption, and ensuring we exceed all customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product experience, preferably with large scale enterprise / service-based business experience

  • 7+ years of product leadership / management experience preferred

  • BA/BS required; BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics plus MBA preferred

  • Demonstrated ability owning and driving results in an innovative and fast paced environment

  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

  • Proven ability to define visionary, ground breaking product innovations

  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence and negotiate

  • Possess strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities in the face of ambiguity

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize

  • Proven ability to navigate complex unstructured cross-functional environment

  • Possess strong persuasive verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience as Product Owner within Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development environments.
