Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager- Microsoft Viva in Boston, Massachusetts

As part of Microsoft’s Cloud + AI Group, we are responsible for building, managing, and securing the platform, products, processes, and services that powers Microsoft. We build, maintain, and implement a cloud-first approach to our technology and experiences, from custom-built business solutions developing our campus of the future and our productivity and collaboration experiences like Teams and SharePoint, to horizontal 3rd party solutions like SAP and Adobe. As a steward of Microsoft and our customer’s data, a core function of Microsoft Digital is ensuring the security of every aspect of the business. Microsoft Digital is responsible for company-wide information security and compliance, with a strategic focus on information protection, assessment, awareness, governance, and enterprise business continuity. Microsoft Digital’s charter is also to influence and work alongside engineers across the company and with strategic partners to build and grow their cloud products and services. As customer zero, we deploy these services inside Microsoft and then share best practices with enterprise customers at scale across the globe.

We are looking for experienced Product Managers who would leverage learning from Microsoft’s own employee experience journey & research to deliver compelling employee experiences on Viva.

This team supports our employees in all locations around the country. This job has the option to beremote within the US or located in one of our hubs, Atlanta, Redmond.

As a PrincipalProduct Manager , you willlead the Viva Core v-team that comprises of series of workstreams such as Analytics & Reporting, Extensibility, Security/Privacy, Administration, Support, Listening & Feedback, Adoption etc. You will be working closely with each of the module (Topics, Insights, Learning, Connections, Goals etc.) leads, research & design teams on overall product design & integration. You will be closely partnering with the various product groups within Viva ecosystem on planning, architecture, development, release, and support. Keys to success encompass building deep empathy for our customers, facilitating partnerships across the company andprovidingclarity in strategy and purpose for our investments.

Responsibilities

  • Define theproduct strategy and visioninformedbydetailedcustomerand partnerresearchas well asdata driven analysis.

  • Developproduct roadmaps based on strategy and vision.

  • Envision and designexperiences that delightcustomers.Authordetailed, crisprequirements for these experiences.

  • Partner with Design & Research, as well asyour peers in PM acrossthe Viva teamto deliver a seamless end to end experiences.

  • Work closely with various Viva product groups, IT Admins, Security/Privacy teams to deliver Viva.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Qualifications for the role include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, user understanding and empathy, cross-group experience, and an ability to plan and manage a portfolio of related features.Candidatesshouldhave a bachelor’s degree in computer science, product design or related fields or equivalent work experience. and bring more than 7 years’ experiencein the industry.

Required

  • 7+ years ofexperience inproductor programmanagementpartneringdirectly withdevelopers, researchersand designers to build and successfully launchend-user facingproducts.

  • Demonstrated experience across the entire product lifecycle –from user research and competitive analysis, to ideation, specification, architecture, andlaunch

  • Strong technical background and solid foundation in software or platform engineering principles

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience

Preferred

  • 10+ years ofexperience inproductor programmanagementpartneringdirectly withdevelopers, researchersand designers to build and successfully launchend-user facingproducts.

  • Excellentcustomer empathywithexperience in user-centered design;demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly software applications and customer-facingfeatures

  • Experience in B2C or Consumer facing products

  • Innate curiosity and ability to thrive inanambiguous andrapidly changingstartup environment. Self-starters and innovators with a positive, collaborative can-do attitude, growth mindsetand bias for action are very welcome.

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering complex initiatives that meet evolving business requirements; passion for cloud-based technologies

  • Experience in Security and Compliance related programs

  • Location: We are hiring in the following locations: Atlanta, Redmond, and fully remote within the US
