The Post-Production Specialist is responsible for creating, mixing, editing, animating, organizing, backing up and uploading media for SANS Online Training. Media can include video, audio, graphics, web sites and text. Media can be stored on HDDs, SSDs, flash drives, SD Cards, servers and other cloud based storage as well as other devices. The Post-Production Specialist is responsible for processing, editing and preparing high quality media using audio and video assets recorded prior at live events, video shoots and studio facilities. This resource will report directly to SANS’ Online Training Video Production Manager. The Production Specialist will follow all procedures developed by the OTVPM to ensure that all post-production practices and processes produce assets that meet quality standards developed by SANS Online Training
As a member of a cross-functional team, this resource will work very closely with SANS’ On Demand Course Building Team to ensure the delivery of high quality online training assets. The resource can also work with members of SANS marketing and team.
The Post-Production Specialist must have excellent communication skills, possess a high level of Audio Video technical skills, have a high level of organization to help ensure that SANS can deliver the highest quality online and blended learning experience to our students.
Produce digital graphics in a variety of formats and resolutions.
Edit and QC audio and video recorded form SANS conference, studio recordings, live events and other productions using standards that will produce high quality audio and video assets.
Produce motion graphics and animation for SANS using a variety of methods and processes.
Brainstorm, sketch and produce storyboards and scripts for E-Learning modules, marketing videos and other multimedia content for SANS.
Manage data produced by cameras and recording devices, QC data, back up data and prepare data for shipment to course builders.
Apply Filters to enhance color, levels, dynamic range, audio levels and other components of the assets in order to produce high quality media for SANS.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum experience of 4 years in audio/video post-production
Comfortable working in a virtual organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
Working knowledge of Audio Video Post-Production processes and technologies
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and or Adobe Animate, Microsoft Office, PluralEyes, Codecs and AV file formats.
Working knowledge of information security is a plus
Experience with online training is a plus
