Dell Planner - Planner - Large Order and Backlog Management in Boston, Massachusetts

Working in an environment that’s as complex as it is critical, our Buyer team within Materials and Procurement manages a group of indirect categories, such as real estate, marketing material, supplies or software. We use our in-depth knowledge and experience to develop strategic relationships with external suppliers as well as with key stakeholders. Our role also includes leading contract negotiations, managing risk, driving cost-saving initiatives and implementing strategic sourcing best practices.

Planner - Lead-Time/Supportability responsibilities include

-Provides segments with the Forecast Assumptions package that must contain the product roadmaps, RTS dates, EOML dates, cost, price, form, feature, and function and market share. -Analyzes supply-demand relationship to determine appropriate lead-time.

-Understands price and lead-time elasticity of products, and incorporates this into lead-time management and forecast.

-Works with product launch teams to ensure that products are successfully introduced into the marketplace and that products

Requires

5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience

Understanding of demand supply to include: seasonality, Q/Q and Y/Y growth rates, market share goals, price position (WAPP), product life cycle, marcom, sales contests, margin and promotions.

Knowledge of order management and fulfillment concepts and processes.

Knowledge of forecast methodologies.

Knowledge of financial management concepts, including product line P&L.

Knowledge of Dell’s Master Sales Plan Forecast Process.
