The Global Partner Solutions team mission is to build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more. GPS is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft. Building on the GPS mission, the Go-To-Market team mission is to develop the strategy and marketing approach for how we build, nurture, and engage the partner ecosystem to drive tech acceleration and customer outcomes.

The Partner Channel Marketing Manager for Investments (PCMM-I) role is key to Microsoft's Global Partner Solutions organization strategy. This role is responsible for defining and landing the US Partners Incentives and Investments Strategy across key product solution areas to support the customer journey from our largest enterprise customers on through to our small and medium business customers.

In this role, you will lead the cross-organizational effort to land the end-to-end incentives and investments strategy across several of our key solution areas, ensuring key stakeholders have a clear understanding around how the Area is investing in Partners across the portfolio and that the Area is informed of discretionary program and offer execution plans. Manage key partner relationships to ensure execution plans are communicated and managed effectively both internally and externally. You will optimize the use of global investments and develop local partner investment principles to support GPS business priorities and accelerate Partner digital transformation in the US. You will need to be a visible thought leader for profitability, leading strategic discussions with Area Leadership that support Partner Transformation, provide feedback and actionable insights on investment efficacy, and explore synergies with other areas of the business to land integrated motions aligned to compete and profitability in market.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and shape the US Incentives and Investments Strategy that support key Solution Area priorities.

  • Land programs locally with Partners and the Field leveraging Corp delivered bill of materials.

  • Validate that allocation and consumption of funds meet all financial and compliance controls.

  • Support analysis of incentives and investment impact and communicate Partner investment results. Work across local Field teams to accelerate Partner digital transformation.

  • Localize US-specific solution area profitability model, driving clarity on market opportunity and potential profitability for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to US Solution Area Profitability strategy with GPS US Leadership.

  • Leverage Corporate Partner profitability reports to analyze partner opportunity compared to Microsoft competitors, recommending alignment of available funds to Partner opportunities to achieve scorecard KPIs.

  • Share best practices, lessons learned and actionable feedback with the worldwide Partner investments and incentives community to support growth and transformation.

  • Seek opportunities to collaborate across the Area teams, connecting activities to simplify and drive success

  • Be a champion for holistic growth. Advocate for business models that drive the One Microsoft business.


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in channel marketing our outbound marketing, partner channel development, business development, alliance management, through partner marketing in the technology industry

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations , Finance ); MBA desired

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable level of technical proficiency

  • Extensive experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies:

  • Inclusive and collaborative - driving teamwork and cross-team alignment

  • Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills in driving complex, broad cross-functional engagements

  • Adept at getting things done, and performing amid ambiguity and complexity

  • Exemplary communication skills, written and oral, to a broad set of internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership within Microsoft and beyond. Ability to build effective relationships with field sales, partners and customers

  • The ideal candidate will have strong skills in analytical modeling and frameworks as well as experience in driving long term strategies

  • Confidence, composure and the comfort in presenting to senior executives is critical

  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences

  • Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners
