We are looking for an alliance director to enhance our partnership with IBM Global Business Services, one of our top tier Salesforce partners. The IBM Partner Alliance Manager (PAM) will be responsible for driving the development and management of our relationship with IBM Global Business Services in North America (US & Canada).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The IBM Alliance Director will be responsible for developing our alliance with the IBM Salesforce Practice and driving collaboration with extended teams.
The PAM’s responsibility will be to develop and drive the development of the joint business and execute programs and initiatives that drive growth. It includes the ability to evangelize the Salesforce value proposition within GBS and facilitate the partner’s value proposition with Salesforce and affiliated companies.
Key to the position is effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, enablement, marketing, legal, and operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Work closely with IBM to progress practice development, pipeline creation, co-selling revenue, and development of Industry & cloud-based assets/solutions.
Execute, manage, and deliver regional (AMER) pipeline and revenue tied to IBM’s strategies and initiatives in close alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain pipeline and dashboards that communicate to Executive Leadership the effectiveness of identified programs and investments.
Conduct regular cadence between IBM and Salesforce stakeholders (Partner Sales, Sales, and Industry Teams, etc.)
Accelerating capacity and capability on the Salesforce platform for both the dedicated Salesforce practice, as driving enablement to vendor-agnostic business leaders
Communications: Ensure effective and timely internal & external communication and coordination of Salesforce’s ecosystem strategy & execution results.
Develop GTM plans in North America and develop industry-specific practice development plans, driving certification growth, and delivering customer success.
Take partner sales plays, offerings, and industry assets/solutions to specific markets for local execution and engagement with our Salesforce field sales teams and Salesforce Industries
Leverage the IBM -Salesforce Global Reseller agreement

10+ years in consulting or partner development
Demonstrable proof of producing measurable results of influenced revenue or channel sales through global strategic system integrators
Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills, using relevant information to make timely and critical decisions that affect cross-functional teams and have a substantial impact on investments and program effectiveness
Experience working with partnerships with SaaS-based solutions and Salesforce partner development experience
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships while delivering results in a highly complex, matrixed global organization
Strong drive and character qualities that match with company core values and inspire others to follow and act
Understanding of IBM, and the Services, and ability to rapidly engage their lead account and industry partners
Understanding of service offering creation, marketing, lead generation, and professional services organization key performance indicators
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- MS/MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
