IQVIA Operational Effectiveness Director in Boston, Massachusetts
Apply expertise to identify, organize, and establish effective management of collaborative initiatives through aiding senior management in the monitoring of a portfolio of initiatives supporting the business unit strategy directly impacting the operational and financial success of Operational Effectiveness Services (OES) and IQVIA’ return on investment. Sustain and improve the OES’s commitment to being the center for operational productivity measurement, optimization, and efficiency including robust change management and communication increasing value-add throughout the organization.
Recommend strategic programs forming long-term business partnerships maximizing the creation of global solutions that will accelerate operational process/productivity improvements within IQVIA.
Participate in strategic meetings serving as OES advisor while gathering initiative insight for positioning linkage between functional team engagements with business unit strategy.
In conjunction with OES senior/executive management determine initiative structure providing leadership regarding the scope, types of initiatives and the messaging to all levels of employees.
Assist in management of portfolio of initiative budgets and scope of work to meet financial and business unit goals (meet or exceed targets) proactively ensuring adherence to process and change control processes.
Recommend strategies to effectively influence the culture of the organization and execute a formal program to capture various stake-holders experiences.
Evaluate and provide feedback regarding risks, quality, and overall probability of success by collecting input from various stakeholders in the organization.
Develop risk management plan and contingency plans to manage portfolio of initiatives to meet financial targets.
Initiate or identify internal and external forums for OES representation presenting OES focus and past experiences.
Serve as knowledge and subject matter expert doe service area and contact for senior and executive management regarding OES initiatives.
Ensure initiatives are aligned with overall OES strategy ensuring alignment and incorporation with overall IQVIA’ strategy.
Identify and establish transparent, successful collaboration with internal stakeholders at various levels including senior executive management.
Lead high level presentations to OES and executive management.
Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture, compilation, and presentation tools
Good understanding of OES tools and processes including change management
Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
Strong influencing, problem resolution, motivation, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics
Excellent leadership and customer service skills
Excellent business and industry awareness staying current on trends and impact on the business
Excellent presentation skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the executive management team
Strong project leadership, staff management, and/or project planning skills
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, life sciences or related field required
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in relevant function (e.g. clinical operations, applied math, IT, data management, business, or laboratory), including a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (CRO/pharmaceutical) including project management experience OR Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Requires extensive knowledge of multiple job areas obtained through advanced education and experience.
Viewed as a leading expert within the field by peers.
Position is home-based, employee can be located anywhere in the USA
Could require occasional domestic travel with the possibility of international travel as needed
