IBM Offering Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

The IBM Cloud VMware Strategic Partner Business Development position is responsible for driving outbound offering management responsibilities. These responsibilities include developing partner relationships for the IBM Cloud VMware business. You will be responsible for driving new and existing partners, cultivating relationships, owning closure to partner agreements, tracking pipeline and revenue with partners, facilitating and presenting value props to business partners, and closing quarterly revenue. You should be well versed in the various partner routes to market, understanding how each partner plays into the ecosystem and how best to build relationships and close deals with these partners. Preference will be given to those who have a proven track record with building partner relationships and pipeline and closing joint deals. Ability to work fast, leverage existing relationships, and have a deep understanding of how partner communities scale the business will be of the utmost importance. Experience with VMware or IBM cloud will be bonus.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or similar.

  • 3-5 years sales experience with assigned sales revenue quota

  • 3-5 years business development experience directly with partners (VADs, ISVs, SIs, etc)

  • 1-2 years product or offering management experience either directly or in collaboration with

  • 1-2 years Cloud sales, technical, or enablement experience

  • Knowledge of VMware and IBM Cloud offerings Job Location:

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or similar.

  • 3-5 years sales experience with assigned sales revenue quota

  • 3-5 years business development experience directly with partners (VADs, ISVs, SIs, etc)

  • 1-2 years product or offering management experience either directly or in collaboration with

  • 1-2 years Cloud sales, technical, or enablement experience

  • Knowledge of VMware and IBM Cloud offerings

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • MBA in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems.

  • 5 + years sales experience, preferably with assigned quota

  • 5 + years business development experience directly with partners (VADs, ISVs, SIs, etc)

  • 2+ years business Partner contract negotiation experience

  • 5+ years product or offering management experience either directly or in collaboration with

  • 3+ years of VMware or IBM Cloud sales, technical, or enablement experience

  • 1-2 years VMware sales, technical, or enablement experience

  • 1-2 years of specific industry experience, especially in Financial Services, Banking, or Healthcare

  • 1 year of Agile / Sprint/ Epic training is preferred.
