The Amazon Pharmacy Learning and Development team is looking for a Multimedia Designer with expertise in instructional design, rich digital content development, graphic and UX design, and project management. In collaboration with Instructional Designers, the Multimedia Designer works from content outlines and storyboards to design and develop learning content, including presentation slides and guides, self-paced eLearning, instructional games and simulations, videos, and rich performance support aids. The role requires an individual who can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. The ideal candidate will be someone who has built training & development programs from the ground-up and is open to trying new, innovative approaches to learning. They must excel at earning trust when working cross-functionally, possess great communication skills, demonstrate high standards, and design with the customer in mind. They should have experience in managing multiple projects and enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and business teams to identify the goals and outcomes

  • Design and develop performance-focused, accessible content

  • Lead the review process for quality assurance and user acceptance testing of media solutions.

  • Design and develop media solutions that support learning experiences that align with business learning outcomes.

  • Provides expertise on the content development process supporting program managers and stakeholders.

  • Measures data on impact of media solutions where appropriate to the overall learning program evaluation efforts.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously all in different steps of the design cycle.

  • Use of multiple modalities for learning, including eLearning, video and audio, digital interactions, assessments, and materials for instructor-led experiences

  • Confidence to speak publicly and influence senior leaders about learning design

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional multimedia design experience, ideally in a fast-paced corporate setting

  • 3+ years experience developing eLearning courses and/or game-based learning experiences through industry standard tools (Articulate360, Construct3, etc) or custom HTML, Java, CSS, etc)

  • 1+ years experience using video editing tools and design software within Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Photoshop) or similar tools (Camtasia, Final Cut, etc)

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a design-related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

  • Experience with commitment to goals and outcomes and positive impact to performance metrics.

  • Experience with Java

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
