Cigna Medicare Direct Marketing – Senior Analyst - Work at Home in Boston, Massachusetts

SUMMARY:

Supports the team with a concentration in tactical support for Medicare Advantage acquisition marketing campaigns. A position that will grow to manage development, execution, and post-campaign analysis of Medicare direct mail and email acquisition (prospect) initiatives; may include customer cross-sell/upsell marketing campaigns. Will provide insight and recommendations to pivot for ongoing improvements to meet target KPIs. Position has a focus on proofing for benefit versions, grammar, and feedback regarding design and readability of materials, and other data and content accuracy as needed. Works collaboratively within team, across functions, and extensively with Advertising, Production, Finance, Creative, Compliance, and Agency teams to execute campaign strategies. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Develops relationships with key business partners and manages approvals from business unit up to manager level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A concentration in direct mail and email marketing campaigns; includes the following:

  • Proofing

  • Multiple versions of materials for accuracy and reflection of the correct regional and per market variations based on source information.

  • Content and compliance accuracy.

  • Managing material content and data review, for benefits, production and market applicable accuracy.

  • Develop and execute campaigns.

  • Managing digital components for direct mail (ex. landing pages, QR codes)

  • Manage and proof other media type materials as needed

  • Building and maintaining footprint, business rules and logic for campaign needs as well as the production matrix (instruction document) for execution.

  • Initial-level data work and insight while working with advanced data team partners.

  • Maintain regional variation source document for variations per creative and market.

  • Competitor research and documentation.

  • Marketing data ordering, research and management as needed.

  • Works with Accounts Payable and Marketing Finance to submit and generate purchase orders and manage budget reconciliation.

  • Facilitate opt-out documentation process for Acquisition Marketing and research as needed.

  • Manage archiving and material retention process along with Marketing Oversight group. The Marketing Oversight team has overall responsibility, but this role will be accountable for managing retention of specific acquisition marketing materials.

  • Manages relationship and established processes with key internal Marketing resources as well as Marketing Finance, Accounts Payable, Marketing Oversight, Compliance, Creative and Analytics Teams.

  • Knows and follows compliance guidelines outlined and updated each year by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and including, but not limited to, corporate compliance and privacy guidelines. Files materials with internal compliance team.

  • Monitors campaign performance on a regular basis to ensure markets are achieving set KPIs and also making recommendations to adjust in markets that are not.

  • Conduct various A/B, segmentation, and creative testing to identify metrics/data insights; leveraging analytics to optimize existing marketing campaign performance.

  • Collect orders for short-term fulfillment marketing initiatives and documentation of fulfillment materials to associated campaigns.​

  • Campaigns include cultural specific in-language creatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years relevant work experience

  • Adept at using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio)

  • Knowledge of direct response marketing, healthcare, managed care, Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare prescription drug plans.

  • Experience in proofing data-intensive communications and materials.

  • Health care marketing experience preferred.

  • Experience working within regulatory guidelines distributed by national regulatory agency.

  • Must be able to build internal relationships and work with external vendors as needed.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects with fast deadlines with quality and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player on multiple projects.

  • Experience working with print production preferred.

  • Organized with ability to effectively manage time.

  • Other language knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
