Alexion Pharmaceuticals MBA Summer Marketing Internship in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description:

The MBA Marketing Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week program based at our Boston Seaport headquarters. During the course of the summer, interns will gain invaluable product and disease-state marketing experience, an understanding of the Alexion organization, and an opportunity to have a direct business impact.

Interns will kick-off their summer internship with a comprehensive training on the disease-state and approved therapy of their Business Unit. Summer projects may include conducting market research, creating new marketing materials, performing data analytics, and developing digital resources, among others. Stakeholders of intern summer projects will include colleagues from Sales, Marketing Operations, Diagnostics, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory and Medical functions. The internship will conclude with a final presentation to senior leaders of the Commercial organization.

Interns who successfully complete their summer internship may be considered for the Alexion full-time MBA Rotational Leadership Program, which features 3 rotations over 3 years in Marketing, Sales, and a third home-office based rotation aligned with business need and candidate’s interest.

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time MBA candidate, scheduled to graduate in May 2020

  • Ability to manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to solve problems that include various competing stakeholders

  • Ability to quickly analyze and communicate data to support business objectives

  • Proven attention to detail and ability to innovate within an organization

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills

  • Compliance with Alexion internal policies and procedures

  • Authorization to work in the US
