Flexential Marketing Operations Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

General Description

As Flexential continues to build an agile and fast paced modern marketing organization, we're looking for a resourceful, responsive, and roll-up your sleeves individual to join our Marketing Operations team. As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for managing the day-to-day inbound Marketing Operations request queue and has responsibility for the design, execution, and optimization of all email marketing programs. In short, this is a hands-on contributor role with both creative and analytical attributes.

The successful Marketing Operations Manager will be a trusted resource on the team responsible for implementing and maintaining various marketing automation initiatives supporting demand generation, customer and partner communications, lead nurturing, lead scoring, and analytics. You are a Marketo champion, comfortable in Salesforce, dabble in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and understand the Customer Lifecycle from Lead to Revenue to Expansion. In addition to building and deploying marketing campaign infrastructure, you will be expected to configure list segmentations, create landing pages, build reports, analyze data and recommend improvements. You will be chartered with assisting in the documentation of marketing operations playbook and processes. The successful candidate is passionate about automation, views technology as an enabler of the company’s goals and is always looking to stay relevant with new technologies and techniques to improve marketing performance. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing Operations and Insights, this role has a unique opportunity to be a key contributor on the cross functional marketing team.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Primary point of contact for managing the day-to-day inbound Marketing Operations request queue.

  • Responsible for the design, execution, and optimization of all email marketing programs, optimization of lead nurturing, lead scoring, and automated marketing programs to develop qualified sales leads and create brand awareness.

  • Act with urgency to create campaign frameworks including nurture streams, new logo acquisition and customer growth.

  • Provide troubleshooting, data cleansing and data analysis across the marketing technology ecosystem.

  • Create and manage UTMs for all marketing channels.

  • Become a subject matter expert on email, digital and social campaign techniques and KPIs.

  • Utilize personalization techniques to support and drive effective ABM programs.

  • Provide full-funnel analytics and marketing performance using Marketo and Salesforce data.

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Ops team members and agency partners, improve our marketing automation and orchestration capabilities to empower campaign owners to launch effective, and repeatable campaigns at scale.

  • Develop and support processes that ensure data quality and flow is maintained within and between Marketo, Salesforce and other tools.

  • Enhance our existing marketing tech stack. Stay abreast of the latest marketing trends to suggest changes or additions to our stack when relevant. Assist in the implementation of marketing tools and integrations.

  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, analytics or relevant work experience

  • 3+ years’ experience using Marketo. Solid understanding of its features, modules and usage scenarios. Marketo Certified preferred.

  • Hands-on development and execution of email marketing campaigns including campaign flow builds, email, landing page and form creation, testing, media placement, tracking, etc. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and/or CSS a plus.

  • Solid understanding of A/B/N testing techniques for email campaigns and landing pages.

  • Drive and manage email process: assets, segmentation, and list management for maximum revenue and profitability.

  • Strong project management and collaboration skills to manage multiple tasks and projects while sticking to deadlines.

  • Data driven marketer with demonstrated experience using BI tools (preferably Qlik, ARB, Tableau etc.) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with account-based marketing methodologies, buying intent, and segmented data integration with external platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Google.

  • Proven capability to serve as a collaborative team player across multiple functions and geographies.

  • Detail-oriented team member that is able to review his/her own work as well as understand the “bigger picture.”

Base Pay Range: The pay range offered for this position is estimated to be $80,000-$100,000k per year, however, the actual pay range depends each candidate’s experience and qualifications.
