This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Marketing Manager for any major US City where we have an office. Be a manager in our award-winning Strategic Growth Team - a multi-faceted and industry-best marketing, sales and communications organization in support of our Earth & Environment business across the US. This leadership position works with management teams to align priorities and drive successful proposal, pursuit and marketing activities across the US. In addition, will support local teams in positioning for major pursuits, including capture planning, and pipeline development. Position reports to the Marketing Director.

Your Impact

  • Assists senior marketing manager or marketing director with activities related to day-to-day supervision of the staff, which may include performance reviews and training/ mentoring of staff.

  • Leads complex proposals with general guidance

  • Collaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits original content for clarity, compliance and key messages

  • Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP

  • Organizes and facilitates pursuit strategy meetings

  • Facilitates Go/No-Go discussions and documentation

  • Lead and support interview coaching and presentation development for shortlist interviews

  • Supports debriefing activities post procurement

  • Assists in the ongoing development and refinement of QA procedures, and serves as quality control review of materials developed by Department

  • Oversees quality of marketing deliverables

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant experience.

  • 7 years experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing complex A/E/C proposals

  • Assists in developing and maintaining pursuit capture plan; works closely with Pursuit Champions to drive early pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts

  • Executes marketing efforts on large, complex pursuits. Participates and supports strategy workshops and technical sessions. Oversees proposal activities, including leading proposal support staff teams, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, developing proposal outline, and working in partnership with the pursuit champion to monitor the progress of proposals

  • Collaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits original content for clarity, compliance and key messages. Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit

  • Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including partnering with national resources to drive WSP’s sales approach, providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP

  • Organizes and may facilitate pursuit strategy meetings

  • Assists the pursuit team on presentation phase, including slide development and organization of rehearsals and coaching

  • Mentoring experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment

  • Ability to build trust and influence others

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications related software programs

Preferred Qualification

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively across diverse teams and environments

  • Problem solving abilities, including conflict resolution under time sensitive production expectations
