Summary

Whiplash (recently Acquired by Ryder) is seeking an ambitious, detail orientated, Marketing Manager that can operate well under tight deadlines within our fast-paced marketing department. The ideal candidate must be a true team player and will have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, with the ability to juggle multiple marketing projects from concept through execution; multitasking is a must. The position will report directly to the Director of Marketing with little direct oversight.

70% Remote

20% Travel, events + meetings

10% in-office, meetings + warehouse visits

Essential Functions

• Maintain the Whiplash brand image and marketing strategy, offering advice/suggestions as often as possible.

•Collaborate with our business development team for all ad-hoc marketing collateral requests.

• Maintain existing marketing collateral (i.e., presentation decks, case studies, eBooks, videos, podcast, RFP’s, whitepapers, etc.) updating where required. Provide creative updates and draft new documents as needed, collaborating with our external Design group as requested.

• Brainstorm with internal teams and external vendors to create new growth strategies and/or marketing initiatives that drive results.

• Research, plan, create, coordinate, and attend industry events (in-person booths, virtual events, speaking engagements, sponsorships, etc.) with proper pre/post marketing engagement.

• Manage weekly email marketing campaigns, email marketing templates, prospect distribution lists, marketing segmentation lists, client distribution lists.

• Manage CRM (salesforce.com), and marketing automation connector (Pardot) to ensure MQL and SQL accuracy

• Join weekly meetings with all internal teams and external vendors to stay in sync with all marketing initiatives as they intersect: Public Relations partner, Graphic Design partner, SEO partner, SEM partner, Creative Writer(s), videographer(s), photographer(s), etc.

• Consistently analyze competitors, offering suggestions based on the industry pulse.

• Manage social media channels (whiplash and Sippin’ & Shippin’ podcast) with several weekly posts, including paid/sponsorship campaigns

• Handle warehouse/building marketing requests and implementation/delivery of marketing assets needed; ensure proper budget allocation.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent Project Management Skills

• Social media, social marketing experience; experience manage social channel campaigns

• Solid understanding of social media platforms; LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook

• Hands on experience with a CRM and marketing automation platforms; salesforce.com and Pardot preferred.

• Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines.

• Must have a creative mindset with strong experience; graphic design experience preferred.

• Must have CMS experience; WordPress

• Knowledge of website analytics tools is preferred; Google Analytics, Google AdWords.

• Strong analytical skills are a must; our marketing efforts are highly data driven.

• Passion for the ecommerce industry with a desire to stay on top of the latest industry trends / best practices.

Familiar with Monday.com, Slack, Mural preferred ​

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree; the focus of the degree is not important.

• 5+ years marketing and/or general business experience in a high-growth organization preferred.
