Boston Properties Marketing Coordinator in Boston, Massachusetts

Primary Purpose of Position:

Ideate, coordinate, and execute marketing, events, and community engagement initiatives aimed at driving traffic, increasing brand awareness, enhancing retailer engagement, and promoting Prudential Center as a premier retail destination. Foster strong office client relationships through tailored programs and activations while also supporting strategic partnerships and sponsorships to further elevate regional presence.

Essential Functions:

Marketing

  • Assist in the planning and execution of promotions and events to increase traffic and engagement at Prudential Center, including office client, community and visitor engagement.

  • Oversee signage program which includes maps, directories, and retail promotional signage. Coordinate updates regularly.

  • Assist in serving as “webmaster” for Prudential Center websites, including regular updates, content creation, etc.

  • Assist in planning and execution of the Center’s social media campaigns throughout the year, including content creation, social partnerships, effective data tracking, and social media reporting.

  • Promote and publicize new stores and restaurants at Prudential Center, informing the general public, office clients, and the tourism industry.

  • Ideate and approve advertising campaign designs; create a wide range of different marketing materials in partnership with onsite design team.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with retailers; coordinate programs and promotions including and highlighting retailers.

  • Participate in the ideation, planning, and execution of annual office client appreciation events and promotions.

Events, Communications & Public Relations

  • Coordinate and execute events at Prudential Center, consistent with the engagement goals for the property.

  • Communicate consistently and effectively with visitors, retailers and office clients to educate on marketing programs, obtain their participation, and assist them with questions.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining positive relations with office client and retail tenants via regular proactive communication, meetings, and routine follow-up. Assist in the creation and review of new retailer and office clients orientation meetings materials including; welcome package, move-in requirements, general property information, rules & regulations etc. Participate in meetings as needed.

  • Assist with prospecting of potential advertisers, brand activations, and event sponsors. Support in requests for information, negotiations and contracting.

Community Relations

  • Liaise with office clients to support marketing goals around added amenities and activations.

  • Liaise with non-profit partners, radio stations, and vendors on regional events.

  • Assist in identifying and targeting appropriate community partners for mutually beneficial activations.

General

  • Work with Marketing & Property Management team on development of annual budget. Report on quarterly forecast and variance.

  • Provide support for regional marketing initiatives as assigned.

Region/Building Specific Functions:

  • In partnership with Property Management, monitor monthly retail sales, and address under-performing retailers and those close to reaching breakpoints to increase revenue.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required.

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in marketing, events and/or communications is required with social media management experience as preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Knowledge of basic web design, graphic design, and desktop publishing programs preferred. (Word Press, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Ability to create timelines, exceed deadlines, and juggle many projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

  • Creativity and ability to initiate ideas and develop programs.

  • Flexibility with work schedule as work on nights and weekends is required when marketing events are occurring or are requiring preparation.

  • Experience in providing direction to external designers, printers, and other vendors.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed sitting such as operation of a computer.

  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed standing such as operation of a printer and scanner.

  • Involves work such as tours throughout property portfolio usually performed by walking and by climbing stairs.

  • Involves movement between departments to facilitate work.

Internal and External Contacts:

  • Regularly interfaces both verbally and in writing, with client contacts, with the leasing, construction, development, and financial teams as well as external vendors, construction professionals, consultants, and with the general public.

Reporting Structure:

  • This position reports to the Marketing Manager (Prudential Center).

  • This position coordinates with regional property management staff at assigned properties.
