Role Description

The Manager / Senior Manager, Commerce Cloud GTM Strategy is a hybrid of Business Strategy and Sales Operations roles found in traditional technology companies – featuring a mix of strategic planning, business analysis, sales optimization and business operational support.

The individual in this role will share responsibility for driving the continued success of by supporting our product growth strategy, with a focus on a specific Cloud business. He/she will work on a variety of global projects across functions and customer segments. Deliverables take the form of recommendations on go-to-market strategy, customer segmentation, sales coverage and investment prioritization. Operationally, the focus will be on forecasting, market sizing and trend analysis, business performance tracking, and formulation of actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will regularly brief executives and own various cross-functional initiatives. Ideally, this person will feel comfortable interacting with senior management on a regular basis.

This role does not have direct reports, but will be expected to lead a variety of projects with their associated virtual teams.

Your Impact

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the go-to-market model and identify opportunities to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness

  • Drive strategic initiatives including territory planning, pipeline management and country-specific go-to-market plans

  • Work cross-functionally to develop growth plans for new geographies, and market segments

  • Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of sales and product leadership

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics and craft plans to address identified weaknesses

Minimum Requirements

  • Manager: 5+ years of experience / Senior Manager : 8+ years of experience in sales, sales operations or management consulting, with strong exposure to B2B go-to-market strategy

  • SQL, Excel modelling, presentations skills required; Tableau experience a strong plus

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft high quality executive presentations

  • Very strong executive presence and engagement skills

  • Highly collaborative style with strong influence skills

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency

Preferred Requirements

  • BS/BA preferred; MBA a strong plus, but not required

  • Prior experience in the software industry preferred
