Manager, Basketball + Fury CTC

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Manage the US marketplace Basketball and Fury icons by creating an optimal omni channel strategic range architecture and go to market plan by working closely with the squad teams, sales, brand communications, channel marketing, operations, demand planning, product supply, purchasing and DTC teams to deliver key Brand product concepts and manage key footwear franchises in order to deliver clear, strategic channel plans that ultimately drive market share and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create the US market Omni-Channel range architecture, including range sizing, key account exclusivity and product close to market opportunities for basketball and fury icon.

  • Monitor market place conditions and recommend appropriate actions (i.e. pricing, segmentation, strategic buys, franchise management, launch timings, CTM’s, allocations)

  • Own strategic channel specific plans and key account lanes of distinction that offer clear paths to success for the business as a whole

  • Ensure that sales and DTC key stakeholders have the right tools for their channel to be effective at sell-in (range plan, product calendar, exclusive product stories, carry over’s etc.)

  • Create alignment with Squad team and US cross functional teams on seasonal planning and deliverable dates for successful activation

  • Main point of contact with Squad team on key seasonal milestone meetings to ensure US market continues to remain a priority

  • Ensure footwear product sell-in readiness and identify key account positions and or concepts for US market. Ensure cross functional key stakeholder alignment

  • Ability to work across multiple seasons (typically 3), including current season support and tracking of launch product as well as the implications/changes that has on GTM readiness across key functions

  • Drive and implement all key milestone meetings for your respective footwear product Icon’s (Seasonal kick-off’s, Previews + US market launches (including room set-up / merchandising) + delivery of product presentations at quarterly pre-line / sell-in meetings)

  • Work closely with sales lead’s and sales directors on product franchise strategy and channel management

  • Create regular insights on current state of business across channels / future trends (tracking size of channel, implementation of Brand on-line marketplace priorities)

  • Use data points (sell-thru, account feedback, etc.) to provide insights that shape the Squad teams approach to the business for future seasons

  • Prioritize concepts / range. Ensure key stakeholders are aligned and clear on seasonal priorities / must land product stories

  • Role will be omni channel and have a direct tie into the DTC team (understanding all activities in DTC channel as well as the greater on-line marketplace and WHSE channel expertise)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for sports and fitness

  • Experience working across a wide range of business partnerships managing multiple projects

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Broad Marketing experience, with a distinct track record of success and high-level Merchandising and retail space management knowledge

  • Strong presentation/communications skills

  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products

  • Experience in both market and above market organization preferred

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing

  • Athletic industry experience preferred.
