Verisk Manager, Product Development and Client Support in Boston, Massachusetts

Arium, part of AIR Worldwide, is looking for a highly passionate analytical individual to join the team in our Boston office. Arium provides new and cutting-edge modelling capabilities of complex commercial liability risks to the global insurance and reinsurance community. You will use your technical and analytical skills and (re)insurance knowledge to support the AIR client managers and help clients understand how to use Arium to deliver real business insights and a range of outputs. You will work closely with the software development and product teams. Responsibilities * Provide day to day model and technical know-how to help account managers working with clients use Arium and understand Arium’s catastrophe model and output. * Provide model and technical expertise to support clients using Arium and understanding Arium’s liability catastrophe model and output, and act as the internal expert on Arium for client managers and business development. * Communicate directly with clients on relevant technical or product road map developments. * Understand specific client concerns and guide product and data teams to create custom solutions for model inputs and outputs. * Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modelling results. * Recommend new approaches to risk management for Arium clients. * Help clients use Arium insights to enhance their portfolio management, pricing, reinsurance strategy, and capital modelling decisions. to ensure our clients are extracting the maximum value from the Arium platform. · Keep on top of trends in the market relating to casualty / liability modelling. · Contribute to white papers, industry conferences, and internal knowledge-sharing events. · Actively participate in driving product development and soliciting feedback from stakeholders. · Lead internal and external trainings on modelling concepts and complex support processes. · Broad understanding of P&C insurance pricing, underwriting, and risk management developed over at least 5 years of experience within the industry. · Strong understanding of the US Casualty market and its unique catastrophe modelling needs. · Strong analytical and quantitative skills, knowledge of probability concepts as applied to insurance (e.g. frequency/severity probability distributions & associated risk measures), and a commitment to client support. · Build and maintain strong relationships with Arium clients and prospects. · Establish the value of Arium within client organizations by designing and ensuring delivery of ad hoc projects related to casualty accumulation analysis. · Act as a consultant for existing Arium clients, guiding them through implementation of the Arium technology and use cases. · Peer review technical client work done by Arium staff to ensure quality of client deliverables. · Willingness and flexibility to travel across North America and globally, depending on need. * Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills are also required. * Ability to code in R and / or Python and SQL, will be needed.
