Wayfair Manager - New Product Merchandising in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong>Role Background</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: The Merchandising Operations group at Wayfair is looking for a Manager of New Product Quality lead to ensure supplier-submitted products have accurate and compelling merchandising for our customers upon launching on site. Wayfair's Global Product Addition team is responsible for launching thousands of new products on a daily basis and is looking to improve merchandising consistency and quality towards our goal of launching perfect SKUs at scale. In this role, you will work with cross-functional partners to capture customer and supplier pain points and work to develop scalable processes and new tooling to enhance supplier-submitted merchandising content to match Wayfair’s high standards.</span></p>

<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">:</span></p>


<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Own and deliver large-scale projects end to end, starting with a problem statement and driving the analysis, resourcing, implementation, and eventual success of highly impactful projects improvement initiatives.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Define and develop robust methodologies for measuring product and process quality to identify and drive measurable improvements.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead process design and implementation for Wayfair’s Next Gen Product Addition strategy to account for supplier nuance, support Wayfair’s dynamic merchandising goals, and move away from one-size-fits all processing.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build compelling business cases based on clear improvements to secure engineering and data science resources to drive automation and scalability, while tracking project success against predefined KPIs and metrics.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Expand stakeholder and supplier support and feedback processes to action on new product requests and transform feedback trends into upstream improvements.</span></li>

<p><strong>What you’ll need</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">:</span></p>


<li><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of experience</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A proven track record of taking on big challenges and delivering despite obstacles or limited resources</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience delivering projects from problem statement level through to discovery, planning, delivery and embedding into business as usual processes&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad cross-functional audience and influence and persuade members at all levels</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience building and leading multi-person teams to successfully complete complex projects</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands-on experience using analytical tools and techniques to solve complex business problems using data. Experience with Data Studio, SQL, GBQ, or other data analysis and visualization tools is a plus</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with both technical and business-oriented stakeholders. Ability to translate analytical work into business cases meant to inform and persuade</span></li>
