Yours included.The Global Support Manager will be responsible for: Working across the administrative departments to review the gaps identified during the global risk assessment and then perform a detailed review of existing policy for additional gaps or opportunities to strengthen operating guidance.Drafting a comprehensive international operating policy that aligns across the administrative departments for review, input and adoption as policy. This policy will then be implemented by the global health team led by the GSM in close collaboration with the research program. Implementation includes developing the user process, administrative reviews and systems and the communications strategy and dissemination.Serving as the primary manager of the system conducting the following: project reviews, conduct project planning with faculty/researchers, partner vetting, management of international partners and provide training/capacity building to international partners to further mitigate risk outside the institution.To qualify, you must have:Masters degree (MPH, MPP, MBA) or Law degree (JD) with focus of studies on internationalFive years of post-degree experience in international project managementTwo years of field experience at the level of project manager, lead implementer or grant/financial manager for either academic, non-governmental organizations, public-private partnerships or a partnership involving a host country government.Three years of domestic (US) experience in project management, grant/financial manager in the area of global health and/or international clinical or public health researchExperience in working for an academic institution would add significant benefit but is not requiredExperience in conducting research in the role of investigator, project manager or data managementAbility to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders needs working within a institutional systemStrong project management and organizational skills to keep multiple projects and streams of operations work moving forward in a time-bound efficient and high-quality wayThe ability to develop long term systems and projects while managing short term needsStrong communication skills to be able to work across departments within the institution and the ability to work with international partners of different cultures and languages.Fluency in foreign languages is an asset but not requiredA focus on the highest quality in all work productsBoston Children’s Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits, including a, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes (50% off).
