Iron Mountain Manager, Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Projects & Reporting in Boston, Massachusetts
The Manager, Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Projects & Reporting is responsible for the ongoing management and execution of all ESG-focused data management for both public reporting and internal dashboards. Oversees annual public reporting, analytics and performance improvement plans for frameworks like DJSI, CDP, GRI and others. Additionally, the Manager, ESG Projects & Reporting is responsible for developing and maintaining a quarterly internal dashboard for the purpose of updating key stakeholders on progress towards goals.
This role is the Primary curator of ESG data management and analysis, a key contributor to company ESG positioning and messaging, including customer survey and RFP support to ensure “one source of the truth” and regular story-telling related to our results and program activities.
Assist in the development and management of third-party reporting strategy
Serve as the primary responder to third-party ESG initiatives like GRI, UNGC, CDP, DJSI Ecovadis, MSCI, FTSE4GOOD and others as identified as important for program success
Maintain a calendar of key actions for all third party reporting activities
Primary curator of ESG data and messaging to ensure “one source of the truth” and consistency in company position on ESG policy and tactical responses
Analyze ESG results vs stakeholder expectations and prepare internal reports, dashboards and data to support business decision makers
Supply information & content to continually keep the sales support organization able to respond to customer inquiries with accurate, timely, relevant data/responses
Primary author and responder to customer ESG questionnaires that are escalated by sales support while supplying training and assistance to continuously improve sales support’s capabilities
Support Sales Execs as needed with customized customer facing content for bid review, proposals, QBRs, etc.
Support marketing – supply the strategic messaging of CR as a component of the Brand “Force For Good”
Identify opportunities to improve IMs performance/rankings/reporting/credibility via suggested improvements in policy and/or practices of the business
Identify gaps/blind spots or coming trends/requirements and suggest improvements in company practices and policies
Manage ESG-related projects to ensure “good green ideas” are implemented as “sustainable business solutions”
Manage operational budget for CR cost-center, including monthly forecasts and accruals
Support the CR content for communications platforms (Scout, Yammer, Facebook, Twitter and IM.com) with current, relevant and interesting content to support authentic brand communications
Oversee execution of ESG materiality process including stakeholder engagement strategy and execution
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in environmental and/or social impact reporting preferred
Familiar with reporting platforms such as CDP, GRI, MSCI and DJSI
Strong skills in compiling and analyzing data from multiple sources including financial business analytics
3-5 years' experience managing relationships and holding partners accountable for achieving agreed to performance levels
Project Management skills and experience required, PMP certification a plus
Exceptional skill in understanding brand value and risk and evaluating opportunities to maximize positive impact and minimize negative
Expense management and an ability to prioritize funding to maximize ROI and deliver exceptional results while staying on budget
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders in a complex, multi-supplier and matrixed environment
High degree of comfort with change, with the skill to easily shift priorities to meet business needs
Strong customer interfacing skills and service orientation
