Manager, Commercial Strategy and Insights - Remote

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Manager to join our Global Commercial Strategy and Insights team. This team is responsible for setting up our commercial organization for success, delivering ongoing and project-based commercial insights and for leading important strategic programs.

Our team sits at a fascinating vantage point to drive transformation and modernization of a Fortune 1000 sales organization. This team is responsible for structuring analysis and synthesizing data-driven insights to develop and prioritize our commercial strategy. This is a global role and is responsible for serving all products in the organization. Our team works cross-functionally with teams across the organization, such as business units, sales, marketing, product management, and sales enablement, to identify and answer high priority business questions. We also help identify and investigate trends in key business metrics, and communicate findings out to the rest of the organization.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with exposure to some of the most strategic and critical projects in the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading a high-impact sales program to drive commercial growth and promote more proactive, data-driven sales behavior

  • Aligning cross-functional stakeholders to a common vision and strategy, and ensuring strategy is properly implemented

  • Providing executive leadership with understanding of program needs and risks, gaining buy-in to ensure program success

  • Partnering with teams across the organization to structure analysis around high priority business questions and synthesize findings to inform strategic decisions

  • Monitoring business trends and commercial performance

  • Ideating on solutions to key business problems based on data-driven insights and a broad base on enterprise knowledge

  • Building data-driven models to drive visibility into business health, expected outcomes and to empower our commercial teams to operate more successfully through the use of data, e.g., forecast models, sales event triggers, activity prioritization models

  • Developing the annual commercial planning process to lead global coordination and program management for building commercial planning models, establishing interlock between various interdependent teams and setting up field sales organization for success

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred

  • Minimum three years experience, with increasing responsibility for data analysis and presentation

  • Experience in strategic consulting or corporate strategy group

  • Proficient with driving strategic programs to manage stakeholders, lead executive meetings, establish a work plan and agenda which is linked to a clear approach for problem solving

  • Strong communicator, both through written content development and in-person communications

  • High level of expertise with office productivity tools, e.g., Powerpoint, Excel

  • Strong analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems. This includes risk definition, establishing quality control and implementation of end-to-end solutions

  • Familiar with analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI
