As part of MassMutual’s Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Analytics team, you will be working with cross-functional business stakeholders to drive financial growth and profitability. You will work with senior team members to generate analytical hypotheses, build queries and generate actionable recommendations to support DTC’s strategy as well as the day-to-day decision-making throughout the entire customer lifecycle. You will also work directly with DTC marketing, sales operations, eCommerce, product and claims teams to develop reports and conduct ad hoc analyses.
This position is part of the MassMutual Direct to Consumer group. The DTC group is responsible for growing the sales and capabilities of business and model exploration, refinement and evolution. We seek to do this in a high caliber team. We are a flat organization, working as a cohesive team on multiple ideas/pilots, scaling existing businesses at any given time. Partnering with business stakeholders, identify key business questions which can be answered through data to drive growth and profitability
Independently execute analyses via advanced analytics tools such as SQL and R; must be able to develop high-quality complex queries
Build and enhance self-service reports to empower the DTC leadership and operations teams
Working with the DTC Analytics Team and other SMEs, transform the current reporting system into the next-gen BI platform
Synthesize large amounts of information to key messages on presentation-friendly media and advise senior leadership on strategy
Deliver concise, clear and actionable presentations to decision-makers
Educate DTC business partners to increase analytical know-how; mentor junior team members
Participate in process design and enhancement to drive higher efficiency and data quality
5-10 years’ experience in Direct/Digital Marketing Analytics, Web Analytics or Customer Analytics; data science and/or data engineering experience a plus
Must be able to solve problems creatively; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and make logical choices when information is imperfect
Expert in SQL and/or R programming; experience in Python a plus
Proficient in prototyping and developing reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau
Intermediate to high proficiency in Google Analytics and/or Snowplow
Knowledge of data warehousing (EDW) and data marts; experience in AWS Cloud environment and ETL tools a strong plus
Strong written & oral communication, and collaboration skills that enable clear and concise communication of data issues and analyses that can be understood by a broad audience
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups; experience in an Agile environment a plus
College degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
