EY's Global Managed Services (MS) team supports our strategy to become the most connected, responsive, and insightful consulting firm. Managed Services is one of the identified growth drivers in the firms overall global strategy. As a part of GMS Commercial Enablement this role will drive, track and manage the industrialization of the GMS priority solutions.

The opportunity

The opportunity is to work with a multi-disciplinary team and subject matter experts (SMEs) focused on advancement of our global MS team. We help our global solution teams scale and drive business efficiencies. Together, we are changing the way they we interact with our customers, other solution teams, and across geographic regions. Our work merges managed services, digital and emerging technologies, solution industrialization, and EY Wavespace™ to build strategic, growth-oriented service delivery.

Your key responsibilities:

This role will lead industrialization projects and facilitate large-scale workshops. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with client and delivery teams to co-develop solutions to meet the needs of Industrialization of our MS priority solutions, which in turn has a direct impact on delivering higher quality solutions to our clients.

  • Develop and facilitate interactive facilitated sessions to enable Global MS solutions to identify and address their most critical issues, ranging from strategic direction and alignment to client delivery. This includes global cross Service Line, CT, and dedicated Solution leaders (Partner level), with a focus on global business & technology alignment.

  • Apply strategic business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy and ability to design business processes accordingly

  • Act as a SME in the firm to grow Global MS serving as an expert on all aspects of solutions including operating model, technology, delivery, etc.

  • Manage the portfolio of prioritized offerings and track development

  • Provide high quality service by monitoring daily progress, developing progress reports, informing leadership of the maturity of each solution, work product by work product and managing staff performance, which includes a program manager and our GDS extended team (assistant program manager and template development team.

  • Create presentations and reports to show progress to a variety of stakeholders, including GMS (Global Managed Services) Executive leadership (Partners), Global Practice, CT, and Solution leaders

  • Develop high-performing teams – manage, develop, and mentor team members, deliver strategy-related training and take on other practice management tasks as needed

  • Identify areas of collaboration and efficiency across the EY practices and solutions.

  • Partner with client and delivery teams to co-develop solutions to meet the needs of the business

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Possess a product development mindset as Managed Services are different from traditional consultative work

To qualify for the role you must have:

MBA and or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Product Management or related field and approximately 8 years of related work experience in managed services or product development / management; or a graduate degree (MBA, JD) and approximately 4 years of related work experience.

Demonstrated abilities in one or more of the following areas:

  • Managed Service or product development

  • Collaboration – working with many teams to arrive at a solution

  • Team leadership

  • Consultative approach to working with stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations using tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word

Ability to design and facilitate large-scale workshops and environments for business transformation projects. Enable teams to identify and address their most critical issues, ranging from alignment to service delivery, and drive sustainable business results.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering consultative services.

  • Understanding market trends and leading practices that are influencing client-focused solutions.

  • Domain driven design experience, preferably focused on financial services, insurance or telecommunications.

  • Presentation skills ' and the ability to communicate to various stakeholders.
