The Life Sciences and Health Care Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the execution and delivery of sector and sub sector targeted marketing campaigns. Liaises with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications Center of Excellence to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive business priorities forward, innovate new marketing solutions, and deliver distinct client experiences. Provide leverage to the strategic marketing leads supporting targeting activities across the marketing mix (internal communications, content development, digital presence, social media, as well as virtual and in person events).

What you ll do

  • Marketing & Communications Fundamentals possess an entry-level understanding of marketing and communications basics to drive business goals

  • Research collect and bundle and curate information that is linked to a topic with examples to include client targeting activities (core firm information, team member biographies, qualifications, media/marketplace trend research, development of FAQs and speeches, etc.)

  • Writing - covering a variety of different types of content, including but not limited to social media activities, managing newsletters, or supporting internal communications campaigns

  • Database management - with examples such as updating contact and account team data or event registrations

  • Event support - can include planning logistics, invitations, registration, conference materials and on-site assistance to create an experience

  • Content development project manage the drafting of collateral materials, crafting of videos scripts, writing of practice perspectives and updating web copy

  • Reporting - gathers data and inputs data into standard reports, focusing on data accuracy, data curation, proper use of grammar, etc.

  • Project management - required in most aspects of the role as a Specialist who supports multiple teams on a variety of activities with the majority being related to those below

The team

Deloitte s Life Sciences and Health Care Marketing & Communications team provides value to the U.S. Firms by differentiating the Deloitte brand for our Life Sciences and Health Care clients. The team includes senior marketing managers dedicated to each of our two sectors and marketing managers focused on our Center for Health Solutions content and cross-sector opportunities.

Requirements include

  • Excellent project management skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills

  • Team-oriented approach with ability to take initiative, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet client expectations and deadlines across multiple projects

  • Specialized skills and experiences relative to operations/process excellence

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team, experience in large corporate setting and/or professional services a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including ability to interact with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent Outlook/Word/PowerPoint skills

  • Editing and/or copy editing and proofreading skills; Knowledge of editorial style

  • Experience using social media platforms (including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, SlideShare, Instagram, YouTube), internet engagement and strategic best practices for reader engagement and user experience

  • Bachelor s Degree in a related field

  • Travel of 5-25%

  • 1 year of directly relevant experience

  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex priorities and work well under pressure

  • Innovative, creative, curious mindset, willing to explore and champion new marketing and communication channels

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
