State of Massachusetts Legislative Liaison in Boston, Massachusetts
Identify, develop and maintain key stakeholder lists inclusive of elected/appointed officials, project stakeholders, impacted residents, businesses, Title VI, disability and elderly
Provide timely, accurate and reliable information both proactively and reactively to all stakeholders
Manage stakeholder relationships, develop third-party alliances, and effectively communicate progress internally
Work to ensure that all messages and documents are consistent in content to that of the relative Highway District Communications and outside Public Involvement Consultants
Keep internal staff aware of important or sensitive issues
Identify and facilitate Highway related events, i.e. Ribbon cutting, ground-breaking ceremonies, etc.
Provide briefings to the Secretary and Senior Management as needed
Develop and build meaningful relationships with Legislators, Municipal Officials, and other stakeholders
Respond in a timely manner and communicate proactively with all stakeholders
Keep legislative offices informed on issues or projects in their respective districts
Create and implement quarterly newsletters highlighting major Highway District Projects, and distribute to State Legislators and staff
Schedule and attend meetings as well as provide applicable subject matter expertise and information
Provide timely responses to the Governor's Office of Constituent Services.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required (A) experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
NOTE: No substitutions will be permitted for the required (B) experience.
