Labor & Employment Associate - Multiple Offices

Boston, MA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC

Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for a senior associate in our Labor & Employment Department. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of traditional labor experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.

• Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings, including experience with federal agency proceedings, drafting position statements and supporting related investigations.

• Experience drafting and arguing motions.

• Experience in labor management relations matters, including National Labor Relations Act compliance, NLRB proceedings, labor counseling, grievance processing and arbitration, and collective bargaining agreement administration.

• Trial experience a plus but not required

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Visual Acuity

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $232,500 - $280,000 in New York and Washington, D,C..
