Reporting directly to a Project Manager, Project Architect or Lab Planning Director, this individual will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Architect and Director of Lab Planning. This role is responsible for the coordination, development, and drafting of construction documents in support of overall Lab fit up projects for clients, applying knowledge of lab planning, architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, building codes, and building materials for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources.
Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates all other discipline elements into unified design for client review and approval.
Prepare client project presentations studies, and reports.
Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans
Prepare drawings and coordinate specification documents for the Conceptual, Schematic, Design
Performs routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards and procedures
Researches, programs, plans , makes studies, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal
Coordinates and integrates all other discipline elements into unified design for client review and approval
May conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with Detailed Design Documents under the supervision of a Project Architect.
May prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports.
Promotes firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution and sustainability.
Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
Minimum of 2 years' related experience is required.
BA/BS or Bachelors in Architecture is required
Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is required.
Strong organizational, communications (both verbal and written) skills are required.
Ability to effectively coordinate with internal architectural and engineering team members is required.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently as appropriate in studio environment is required
Participation in professional organizations is preferred.
