You will build and maintain relations with strategic KOL. Identify, develop new sales opportunities focused on Analytical Instrument Segment. Identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) from the Analytical Instrument in designated country/region market to drive and deliver commercial excellence. Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the KOL to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Work with marketing, Global account and Sales management team to understand account strategy and develop KOL network to expand a market understanding and its engagement.
What you will do:
Identify and list potential KOL in 'Scientific Research' market segment
Align & finalize KOL list in agreement with Sales leaders, Vertical Marketing Team leader, Industry Support and VP of Global COE Applications
Document business goals & specific strategy for each KOL
Connect Sales leaders & Vertical Marketing leaders to KOL and their connections within key scientific committees and communities.
Build solid network & connections with Scientific Committees of major Scientific events
Stay up-to-date with market surveys and new trends in OMICS and Biopharma
Understand the overall landscape of what KOL's major competitors
Conduct regular KOL business updates to key stakeholders within the company.
Reporting - provide KOL status reports as the need arises on a local or global basis as appropriate - integrate Sales Force.com as part of work to ensure accurate reporting.
Document specific proposals and offerings to sales, marketing team and R & D
Ensure KOL understanding of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Value Proposition
Formulate and implement action plans for continuous improvement
How you will get here:
At least 15+ years of sales/marketing experience and successful track record in the Analytical Instrument Science market
Proven ability to manage a Sales Strategy throughout the sales process and evaluate customer's business data
Understands the Market: customer's industry, business process, critical success factors, competitive standing
Excellent communication & presentation skills: Ability to assimilate complex concepts and clearly articulate business value that inspire action
Builds effective relationships, collaboration and communicates clearly
Demonstrated ability to work with complex organizations
Risk-takes who is willing and able to make objective decisions based on the limited data
Comfortable influencing and negotiating.
Strong computer skills (CRM, MS Office etc. )
40% travel expected
Master Degree or PhD in Life Science or related field and MBA preferred
