Wayfair’s IT audit audit team consists of detail-oriented, highly organized individuals who oversee the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and general business planning. Wayfair's IT audit team is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the integrity and security of the company's IT systems and processes. This includes conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of IT controls, compliance with relevant regulations, and the overall security posture of Wayfair's IT infrastructure. By identifying potential risks, recommending improvements, the IT audit team ensures IT systems support the company's business objectives while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

  • This role offers the chance to collaborate cross-functional stakeholders across Accounting, Operations, Technology, and other Wayfair Organizations to deliver project success.

  • You will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in accounting, business, and information systems to identify Wayfair business and IT risks and drive improvements to financial critical processes.

  • You will help to review Wayfair internal controls and perform analysis to business and technology data from internal stakeholders to assist management synthesize key audit decisions.

  • You will gain the experience of documenting Wayfair audit workpapers by leveraging Wayfair audit policies and industry standards

What You’ll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or other related majors with a 3.0 GPA minimum

  • Must be returning to the course of study following the completion of the Co-op

  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from July 7 to December 19, 2025 in our Boston office

  • You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, auditing and IT knowledge

  • Academic experience, coursework or projects related to information systems, auditing, or accounting

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with attention to detail

  • We are looking for candidates who are comfortable and excited to work and learn in a synergistic business and technology environment.

Wayfair Co-op Program Overview:

Based in Wayfair’s Boston headquarters, our co-op program is a six-month, full-time, paid program that runs twice annually in January to June and July to December. Through the co-op program, students have the opportunity to gain impactful professional experience in their major or career field of interest by fully integrating with Wayfair business units. In addition to exciting project work, Wayfair co-ops have the opportunity to build their professional networks, take advantage of training offerings, and attend social events throughout the program.

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
