Microsoft Corporation Integrated Marketing Communications Manager-Xbox Marketing Team in Boston, Massachusetts

Are you a marketer with a passion for authentic and inspiring creative? The Xbox Marketing Team is seeking an Integrated Marketing Communications Manager for first party games. This person will develop and drive campaigns from audience strategy through to creative execution, partnering with game developers, agencies and internal marketing, PR and media teams.

This role will lead the creation of fully integrated marketing campaigns that launch and sustain games being produced/published by Xbox Game Studios. You will lead in the development of integrated marketing plans, write strong creative briefs, manage asset production and partner with multiple teams to hit all customer touch points.

The ideal person will have a proven track record of understanding unique audiences, developing integrated consumer marketing strategies, delivering compelling creative and have a true passion for pop culture and entertainment. You will be adept at working across a large and highly complex organization with multiple stakeholders and will have partnered with outside agencies to deliver campaigns on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

Campaign development and production:

  • Build global campaign strategies and help develop integrated marketing plans that drive key business metrics for multiple game titles on an annual basis.

  • Manage agency partners and internal teams on campaign development, video and digital production for campaigns and key event-related assets.

  • Develop key consumer-facing messaging and copy that can be used consistently across all integrated marketing channels on a global level.

  • Lead the naming, logo and visual identity development, from partnering with studio teams on the brief through to trademark clearances and global distribution.

  • Articulate a vision and write clear, succinct and actionable key campaign documents, including the integrated marketing plan, campaign creative briefs, etc.

  • Seek out and recommend new way to bring our titles to life and challenge norms.

Cross-team collaboration and project management:

  • Partner with teams at strategic and tactical levels to insure successful implementation in key global markets and across all retail channels.

  • Build and maintain positive working partnerships with product marketing, studio teams, media, regional teams, etc.

  • Partner with internal channel teams and agencies to successfully launch campaigns across all media channels.

  • Budget oversight and management across multiple deliverables.

  • Maintaining compliance with legal, ESRB, Geo Political and on creative content approvals and clearances.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Must have 7+ years of advertising, brand and campaign development experience, with extensive experience working with or for an agency, with a demonstrative portfolio of work.

  • Experience with large-scale video/ TV, digital, print, and other production.

  • Must be nimble enough to negotiate with multiple stakeholders, be able to defend work, and also know when to accept direction.

  • Must know how to get work done within a large and complex organization involving multiple stakeholders.

  • A strong drive for results, with a proven track record, often delivering under tight deadlines.

  • Budget management experience and the ability to manage large scale production budgets across multiple products and timelines.

  • Strong preference for experience developing campaigns for pop culture IP or entertainment properties.
