Boston University INDUSTRY RELATIONS MANAGER, Questrom School of Business, Feld Center for Industry Alliances in BOSTON, Massachusetts
As part of the Feld Center for Industry Alliances team, the Industry Relations Manager (IRM) will manage the relationship with existing employers and cultivate new employer relationships within various sectors for the purpose of enhancing and expanding on and off-campus recruiting programs for Questrom students. The primary industry coverage will be Technology/Digital/Start-ups/CPG&Retail; as well as additional shared coverage areas of Digital consulting and Finch. The IRM will establish strong relationships with key employers, alumni, faculty, and students in order to develop important networks and keep abreast of employer needs.
Key goals are to:
- Increase opportunities for students to interview with companies both on-campus and off-campus, by effectively marketing the Questrom School of Business to targeted companies.
- Systematically conduct research among prospective and current recruiters that clearly identifies their needs and how to best meet them; Share information, analysis, and ideas from the marketplace with fellow staff members for the purpose of better preparing students in their chosen career paths.
- Serve as a continuing example of the professionalism, polish, and preparedness that recruiters should expect from the Questrom community.
Additionally, the IRM will help enhance and support job search strategies and connections for both Undergraduate and MBA students within these assigned sectors. The IRM will meet with both undergraduate and master level students to support and enhance students’ job-search execution strategies. This includes but is not limited to the following: sharing insights on specific employers’ recruiting practices and recruiting timelines, suggesting helpful connections, making referrals when applicable, and acting as the liaison between students and key employers and alumni. The IRM will play a critical role in supporting student job placement outcomes/metrics.

Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred, 5 to 8 years of working experience in a similar capacity. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
