Job Description

Location: Hybrid, Boston, MA Full-time

TheBrand, Innovation and Product Marketer isHead of Marketing,reports directly to the Vice President, General Manager atRocketbookand is a member of theRocketbookLeadership Team. Thefiveoverarchingpurposesforthis roleand the job responsibilities under eachare:

  1. Develop strong insights driven consumer understanding tounderpineverything we doand interpret and translate into action. Specifically,insightsonconsumer understanding, reasons to believe andpath to purchase fora new subcategory withnewproductsolutions to old problems(versuswell understood products in mature categories).Responsibilities include:
  • Track what we know anddon’tknow about consumers from internal and externalsources

  • Map the gaps in our consumer knowledge and understanding and impediments toconversion

  • Develop plans for insights/research approaches both internally drivenand externalcontracts

  • Monitor the competitive landscapeanddevelop marketing strategies toaddress

  • Interpretimplications frominsights andtakeaction

  1. Develop communications, messaging,contentand targetingstrategiestoeffectively andtime and cost efficientlymovetargetconsumersalong the path to purchase;specificallythechange in beliefsrequiredto considerRocketbook. Coherent approaches acrossmarketingmessagingand instore presentation (both bricks and mortar andon line).Responsibilities include:
  • Solve for consumer target segmentsand prioritize forcommunications

  • Lead the marketing team in the implementation across socialandcommunitymanagement

  • Leadmessaging andcontentdevelopmentto address consumer questions on the path to purchase and drive organic search(blogsetc)

  • LeadeMailmarketing for retention and repurchase andacquisition

  • Seek out sponsorship and affiliateopportunities

  • Lead theConsumer Customer Servicefunction

  • Measuremessaging, content andbrand performanceandtheeffectiveness of marketingspend

  1. Managethe omnichannel sales and distribution channels to drivegrowthandleveragecross channel impacts to maximizeeffectincluding overseeing the digital sales channels,retail saleschannelsand international channels. Responsibilities include:
  • Work with the Digital MarketingLeader todevelop and implement marketing plans includingdigital and agencyspendand strategiesto achievetargets

  • Work with the Sales Force Retail leaders to develop customer marketing plans to secure andgrow distributionand achieve customerand channeltargets

  • Developand lead the AnnualSales andMarketing plans. Monitor progress andtakes actiontocourse correct andadjust

  • Manage and achieve coherent branding across allchannels

  1. Bring consumer perspectiveand insightsto the innovation road mapadvocating for innovations acrossphysicaland digital product improvements throughnew products,through adjacencies and licensing opportunities.Responsibilities include:
  • Leadership of the“Make the Numbers”Innovation Road Map for the currentyear

  • Shared leadershipofthe “Build the Future” Innovation Road Map forthe next 5years

  • Shared leadership of the strategy and innovation projects

  1. Strategic and executional marketing leadership as aleaderforRocket Innovations Inc.Responsibilities include:
  • Manage and deliver daily, weekly, monthly reporting including performance againsttargets

  • Ensure a ‘no surprises’ approach to cross functional integration on sales and marketingplans withSupply Chain, Product,Sales,Financeand Corporate stakeholders ensuring critical paths are in place that touch your responsibilities.Demonstrate excellence in cross functionalteamwork

  • Supportpeopledevelopment both within the formal processes and inevery daymanagement.

  • Participate in monthly reportingatRocketbookand Corporate

  • Stay up to date on industry trendsand educate the Leadership Teamandparticipatein BIC COE’s


  • Bachelor’s Degreerequired(MBA in Marketing strongly preferred)

  • 12+years of experienceinconsumer facing physical and digital productsinfluenced byfashion,techandconsumer trends essential.Experience inConsumerGoods (preferably the discipline of leadingcpgcompanies),and alsoConsumer-Techispreferred.

  • Experience as BrandManagerincludingproduct Innovationand newproductintroductionsis essential.

  • Insightsleadership in start-up environments with new to market solutions and introductions preferred.

  • Experience finding insightsand reframing and changing the approach to messaging and contentimproving conversionis essential. This experiencefor a new and novel product and subcategorypreferable.

  • Experience in both digitally drivensalesand retail distribution sales modelswith capability to solve for effectively integrating them in anomni channeltailored toRocektbook’schallenges is essential.Digitalexperience should includeAmazon Retail Media, SEM/SEO,andSocial.

  • Experience with marketing and driving growth in an omnichannelmodel

  • Experience working with syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen,etc)

  • Abilityto move with speed and agilityand excellent interpersonal, communication and presentationskills

  • Strong analytical and creativeproblem-solvingskills
