Wayfair Head of Marketing Strategy in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our Marketing team drives growth for Wayfair on every major advertising platform. We aren’t your standard marketers: we own the strategy, P&amp;L, and product roadmaps for our portfolio of bleeding-edge and in-house-built marketing and AdTech products. We leverage them to acquire high potential customers and engage them to come back again and again. We have petabytes of first and third party data at our fingertips; what makes us successful is using that data to build algorithms and automated solutions to take our “Zillions thing home” offering and personalize it to each and every customer.</span></p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You will own the P&amp;L strategy and execution for a billion dollar+ marketing channel. Marketing is different here; budgets aren’t set by someone in finance. At Wayfair, channel owners have unlimited budgets to spend on advertising campaigns. You will thus be responsible for setting your own targets for ad spend and revenue/ROI and be health accountable to the CEO for hitting those targets. You will lead a team of 5+ business analysts and managers to develop campaign strategies, launch new campaigns, and optimize your portfolio of campaigns. To do so, you will develop and own a robust campaign testing and product roadmap. You’ll work closely with our in-house Creative team to improve our creative assets and test them using our A/B testing tools. You’ll identify opportunities to optimize your existing campaigns, explore new and innovative ideas, leverage targeting and personalization data from our in-house Data Science teams, and ultimately think like a product owner, developing automated solutions with our AdTech teams to scale your efforts.</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Own billion+ dollar channel, defining and executing against a vision that unlocks&nbsp; the next wave of growth and loyalty across 3-6-12-24 month time windows&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with data science, ad tech, business intelligence, engineering, creative and promotions to convert the strategy into a tactical plan that aggressively takes advantage of product innovation to deliver desired business outcomes</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with Product leaders to develop a comprehensive vision and roadmap for our homegrown communications platform</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tightly manage channel and campaign performance across both revenue and costs, reacting quickly to deviations from plan</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop a deep understanding of who our customer is, what they want, and how to encourage them to visit and purchase more frequently</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable building a robust strategy and story using large data sets</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to think and perform both strategically and tactically, driving and shaping the vision while tightly managing the details</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dynamic self-starter with high operational acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset looking to make a big impact in a quickly growing organization</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with Excel, SQL and Test and Learn practices</span></li>
