<p>As the leader of a product organization spanning multiple atomic teams, you will guide the creation of cutting-edge applications by setting the strategy and roadmap for some of our largest strategic initiatives and technology investments. These will solve critical problems including helping customers complete purchases, ensuring an accurate catalog of products, and identifying similar / substitutable sets of products. This cross-functional, high-visibility role is perfect for those who thrive on tackling challenges and insist on driving impact. Your guidance and mentorship will empower your direct reports to create and deliver ambitious roadmaps while pushing adjacent solutions forward. <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Own the product strategy and roadmap definition for 3+ science product teams to help visualize and guide the creation of technology solutions to achieve business objectives at scale</li>

<li>Identify new opportunities for Science investment given the evolving nature of the ML/AI/Science field and accurate judgment on diminishing returns of science investment across teams</li>

<li>Given multiple high-priority business objectives, drive multiple cross-functional initiatives through a blend of product thought management/ guidance, process engineering, relationship building &amp; influence, team building &amp; coaching, and direct intervention where appropriate</li>

<li>Be a highly visible thought partner for executive leadership (Director+ level), acting as their primary "go-to" for major cross-functional initiatives</li>

<li>Act as a manager-doer, coaching a team of product managers to develop their skills and grow while rolling up your sleeves to assist directly when necessary</li>

<li>Guide problem scoping and discovery across multiple functional areas, drive requirements synthesis, and facilitate prioritization to discover how Wayfair should invest in capabilities that drive the highest impact business outcomes</li>

<li>Identify, contextualize, and communicate evolving industry, technology, and product trends, particularly related to the evolving R&amp;D for the technical space you own</li>

<li>Act with a high degree of ownership, creating strong relationships with senior cross-functional partners (both technical and non-technical), establishing a shared vision for success, and delivering results that create meaningful business impact</li>

<p><strong>What You Need:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>10+ years of product management experience in an agile development environment or equivalent experience</li>

<li>5+ years of experience managing multiple teams and ideally supporting product managers through coaching, expectation setting, delegation, and direct intervention</li>

<li>Experience working directly with or alongside AI / ML / Data Science products and applications to successfully drive products with significant business impact</li>

<li>Highly developed organizational and reasoning skills with hypothesis-driven problem solving and the ability to turn data into actionable insights</li>

<li>Demonstrated experience forming consensus out of ambiguity and complexity, influencing senior business and technology partners, and driving teams forward with sustainable urgency towards clear goals</li>

<li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent of education and experience</li>
