Oracle Government Mission Modernization Business Value Architect Director in Boston, Massachusetts
Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.
A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product's sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle's sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle's products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 12+ years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Proven track record in managing multiple opportunities and ability to negotiate and close complex deals. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to Travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Government Mission Modernization and Business Value Architect
In this role you will work directly with some of Oracle’s most strategic Public Sector customers to help them define or refine transformational programs by:
Building transformational vision for government services by identifying customer business challenges and how technology can improve the processes
Assessing the current state and envisioning future state to generate opportunity
Owning the start of the transformation developing a business case for change, including quantified financial benefits with full ROI
Department of Defense knowledge preferred
Identifying strategic improvement opportunities and aligning them to business imperatives
As an Oracle Business Value Architect, you will have prior experience in business development, deal capture, Cloud enablement, management consulting and/or pre-sales strategic services. Your previous background in business consulting or management consulting where you worked to identify and create programs of change, understand and articulate business priorities, identify business improvement opportunities, create business cases and roadmaps, and document and present the story in compelling, high-fidelity presentations to business and technology C-suite executives will serve you well. Your previous experience in pre-sales or sales will help you work effectively and efficiently within a sales process with our sales teams, proactively manage to a plan and deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally to lead a team of Oracle resources.
10+ years of professional experience, ideally in consultative or strategic customer-facing roles
Go to Market savvy, Results-oriented, strategic thinker
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights and clearly communicate complex ideas to customer senior executives, while handling questions and objections
Experience with quantitative analysis and financial modeling
Mix of business and technical skills with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy
Creative, high-energy, self-starter comfortable in being in a leadership role
Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Solution Engineering, Industry teams and other key partners
Experience in account strategy support, and development and execution of value hypotheses, business cases, and commercial proposals preferred
Cloud architecture experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, Goggle, etc.
Top Secret Clearance and/or U.S Government experience required

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
In this role you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and the go to market strategy and pipeline opportunism to transform government while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Architects. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Architects. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. Demonstrated business experience in functional areas spanning Sales, Sales Performance Management, High Availability and Disaster recovery, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Computing and Enablement, Data Center Optimization and Consolidation, Cyber Security, Identity / Access Management, Integration and SOA, TCO/ROA Analysis, Big Data, IOT, Business Intelligence and lift and shift workload migrations.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
