This role will report to their Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and lead the organizations sales effectiveness, efficiency and commercial programs.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for global commercial excellence strategy, including design and delivery, of commercial best practices that maximize profitable revenue.

  • Recruit, manage, and retain a team of industry-leading professionals.

  • Responsible to lead the development and delivery of effective marketing business processes and business systems, including segmenting, targeting, technology and product roadmaps, value proposition development, and sales tools.

  • Responsible to lead Company's customer service groups,

  • Responsible to lead the development and delivery of effective engineering and technical service business processes and business systems, including new product introduction process, product rapid prototyping and sampling fulfillment, and fulfillment of customer technical requests.

  • Responsible to develop and deploy business process, systems, and programs to enable high-value customer interactions.

  • Lead Company's sales effectiveness, efficiency, and commercial intensity programs across the business.

  • Work with management and executive levels to assess and understand skills and enablement needs and translate them into actionable and measurable program objectives and goals.

  • Provide leadership and innovative ideas to deliver programs in new and unique ways to improve the employee onboarding experience, and continuous training/ development programs.

  • Work with the customer facing parts of the organization in the field to see firsthand how identified skills and techniques are used by the team. Provide a feedback cadence to the individuals and teams on real world performance.

  • Work with Marketing to create and disseminate high impact materials, programs, and support structures for different personas within the customer facing parts of the organization.

  • Lead digital transformation for Company's commercial team. Develop scalable processes and systems, applicable to, and in support of, all business units.

  • Architect and deploy global CRM maturity, evaluating and employing value-added modules in a well-planned approach to accelerate customer understanding with analytics and integrated market data.

  • Execute Company's performance management system, by setting performance goals and objectives, performing employee performance reviews. Provide leadership to team members leveraging the strengths of the team and holding people accountable.

  • Evaluate options and make recommendations to management on key trend analysis and strategic plans recommendations.

  • Proactively coordinates cross-functionally (external customer, sales, purchasing, business line and engineering team) to ensure high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency are maintained in the commercial organization's efforts.

  • Develop maturity of pipeline management including metrics to convert pipeline to plan.

  • Lead the improvement of value delivery business processes and systems to enable a 5-star customer experience.

  • Support the data needs of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes; continually seek process optimization opportunities.

  • Uses data analytics and reporting dashboards in Salesforce to provide leadership with necessary KPIs to inform decision making.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Deep knowledge and application of sales methodology, customer journey and B2B buying process.

  • Able to see the bigger picture to build, motivate and develop high performing team members.

  • Managing direct reports for minimum of 5 years, preferred.

  • An authentic commitment to challenging the status quo and holding others accountable to cement the gains of new initiatives.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, highly diligent and committed to the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrated bias for action (high-energy) and proven success as a team player.

  • Proven ability to create and communicate a vision which enables others to see it and "buy-in" to the plan.

  • Appreciates the value of data analysis to provide critical metrics to make decisions.

  • Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers.

  • Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time, both domestic and international and in accordance with COVID protocols and restrictions.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience in technical field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or sales operations functions.

  • Direct sales or marketing experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience with software tools including, but not limited to CRM systems (salesforce.com), relational databases and business intelligence software tools (Tableau, Power BI), Hubspot.

  • Experience specifically within the Automotive, Energy, Sustainability markets a huge plus

  • Experience with administering sales training enablement programs

  • Solid project management skills.

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma and equivalent qualification

  • Change management experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customer facing experience

My client is a 20 year old $100M+ annual specialist manufacturer playing in the energy and sustainability realm. With a recent product launch they have turned into a hyper growth global organization and are actively seeking a Global VP of Customer Excellence to as they scale.
