Position Overview
The Global Key Account Manager - Medical is responsible for managing Minnesota Rubber and Plastic’s largest global medical accounts. The key account manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The key account manager will also be responsible for executing annual growth and pricing plans within assigned accounts.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for driving revenue and profitability growth within assigned key accounts in targeted sub-markets and applications
Coordinate global initiatives across multiple sites and divisions with assigned accounts – Including pricing, product development and marketing
Development of cross functional and cross department relationships with large complex organizations to drive cross selling and up selling opportunities
Identify and address key account needs and strategic focus areas to drive greater customer intimacy
Anticipate key account changes and improvements
Manage and coordinate internal cross functional teams to execute key account needs, including customer service, marketing, operations, engineering and finance
Develop annual strategic account plans
Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
Negotiate contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance
Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the key account
Meet all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines and/or scorecards
Analyze client data to provide customer relationship management
Create strong understanding of medical device markets and keep consistent pulse on key player and market movements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business. MBA is a plus
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with proven track record of success in sales and account management
Exceptional demonstrated verbal communication, presentation, writing and interpersonal skills
Experience with large publicly traded global organizations
Strong project management skill
Understanding and exposure to medical device markets
