Field Marketing Manager
Come join a fantastic team! The Field Marketing Manager is a field-based role, responsible for building and executing field-based marketing programs within Boston on Tier 1 academic institutions. This will be accomplished through engagement/collaboration with field selling teams to proactively drive events that support funnel growth such as: lunch and learns, workshops, seminars and road shows, etc. While also creating, leading and executing upon strategic marketing plans at the account level.
From these engagements the FMM will develop purposeful relationships with Leica customers to better create and leverage collaboration opportunities within the Boston region and nationally across the LMS Life Science Research business.
This role will also be the central point of coordination between sales, marketing, and applications teams in identifying / developing customer driven educational and commercial content and for effectively disseminating the key differentiating messages for Leica products to internal and external customers.
Organize field customer facing events (seminars, workshops, vendors shows, local conferences etc.)
Create and execute calendar of events
Work closely with Marketing and Field Selling Teams to develop white paper / data sheets
Generate Leica Brand awareness and product differentiation messages to be used online and in customer sites
Work closely with local sales teams to stay aligned on account strategy
Coordinate with Product, Digital Marketing, and Sales teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns and sales tools for lead management
Work with the sales team in generating quotes for prescriptive products (<10% of time)
3 -5 years experience in a commercial role; marketing, field marketing, field sales, etc.
B.S. degree; MBA is a plus
Experience in educational marketing communication / campaign, message development and execution of such initiatives
Experience using digital marketing and/or digital communication tools
Organized self-starter with a passion for making an impact and driving customer engagements
Demonstrated experience with cross functional matrix team leadership where team members come from various organizational functions
High energy and positive demeanor both internally and externally
Organized and able to build and execute on strategic plans, working collaboratively across various levels of the organization
Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines
Excellent communication skills are essential
Desired qualifications express expectations for ideal/fully proficient candidates; equivalent experience will also be considered.
