CVS Health Executive Director, Data Science - Pricing Analytics in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

We are building a new health care model that is easier to use, less expensive, and puts the consumer at the center of their care.The Pricing Analytics team serves as a critical partner to Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance and Sales leaders across Aetna and CVS-Caremark. This team builds innovative advanced analytics solutions (using Machine Learning and other statistical techniques) which help drive pricing competitiveness, business growth, and improve the affordability of healthcare services. The Executive Director / Head of Pricing Analytics would partner with senior Pricing executives to build an Advanced Analytics vision and roadmap; gain stakeholder buy-in to the roadmap; and lead a team of Data Scientists, Analytics Consultants, and Data Engineers to execute on the roadmap and measure impact. This is a high growth, high visibility role working with a dynamic and collaborative team of talented analytics practitioners, pricing experts, and healthcare leaders.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 170,000

Maximum: 325,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of total experience with 5+ years in Healthcare • 6+ years with actuarial or health care pricing• 6+ years of experience managing Data science teams that program on R/ Hadoop or Python• 6+ years of experience in strategy consulting or in strategic functions at large companies • 3+ years of experience in building strategic roadmaps in Analytics and executing on identified opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree - quantitative field• Strong consultative skillset • Demonstrated ability to be entrepreneurial - identify new opportunities collaboratively with stakeholders, independently build a roadmap, guide a team through execution and impact measurement• Strong people leadership, positive, collaborative, relationship-builder, ability to manage up and down


• Bachelor's Degree - quantitative field
