Boston University EVENTS SPECIALIST, AUX Events & Conferences in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Serve as a primary contact for events and conferences including summer housing programs for University and non-University clients. Coordinate, arrange and support at all stages of event planning and execution. Develop and oversee preparation of proposals, contracts, event diagrams, and printed/published event materials. Advise clients on, event set-ups, menus, budget, timelines and other logistics. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with University and non-University vendors while making negotiations and arrangements both in planning and as an onsite liaison during events. Provide exceptional customer service as a resource and guide for new and returning clients to ensure the overall success of each program.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in related field and three to five years of experience to include customer service, hospitality or conference/event related experience; project and resource coordination; and effective interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends is required and having a drivers license is preferred. RESUMES WITHOUT A COVER LETTER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
