Robert Half Events Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Manager (Non-IT) - Expert in Boston, Massachusetts. The role primarily involves leading and collaborating with teams to plan and execute events, ensuring consistent brand and event standards. The position also requires liaising with sales teams to identify key event themes and goals, and tracking budgets to ensure spending limits are adhered to.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to plan and execute proprietary events, third-party conferences, and sponsorships.
• Work with sales teams to identify key themes, goals, and messaging for each event.
• Develop project plans, lead planning calls and coordinate with all business partners to meet deliverables.
• Ensure all event components, including presenters, brand message, locations, and overall attendee experience, are impactful and follow guidelines.
• Manage and oversee all presenters for events and conference participation, including coordinating speaker requests, consulting on presentation content/creation, and coordinating speaker prep to ensure alignment with messaging and goals.
• Diligently track budgets and spend to ensure events and conferences are within designated budget amounts.
• Coordinate booth and premium deliverables for industry conferences.
• Measure return on investment for all programs and provide analysis reporting.
• Handle program deliverables including marketing communications collateral, registration/invitation copy/promotions, event logistics, and sales communications. Requirements
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven sales experience, with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
• Experience in creating detailed reports and presenting findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of marketing strategies and principles.
• Experience in training and development of team members.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with budget processes, including planning and tracking expenditures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document creation and editing.
• Ability to design and implement project plans.
• Experience in creating and delivering effective presentations.
• Experience in managing vendors and third-party service providers.
• Consulting experience, with the ability to provide strategic advice.
• Proven ability to execute project plans and deliver results.
• Experience in planning and executing promotional activities.
• Comfortable in conducting and participating in conference calls.
• Experience in component selection and procurement in a project setting.
• Knowledge of financial services industry would be a plus.
• Experience in managing deliverables within a project framework.
• Excellent coordination skills, with the ability to synchronize team efforts.
• Experience in competitor analysis and market research.
• Proficiency in Zoom for virtual meetings and presentations.
• Experience in working with business partners and stakeholders.
• Expertise in project planning and implementation.
