Summary
Social & Engagement Strategist
Calling all social media trend spotters, TikTok scrollers and Instagram double-tappers: AMP Agency is hiring for an Engagement Strategist! The person will join a fast-growing social strategy team at AMP, and manage the social media presence for well-known consumer brands. The Engagement Strategist is in charge of understanding the opportunities, nuances, and best practices of the paid and organic social media and content landscape, and helping AMP’s clients connect authentically with consumers in the social sphere. People in this role must be deeply in tune with consumers, brand voice, culture, and the social media landscape in order to forge deep connections between brands and their audience.
REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS
2-3 years brand marketing experience with focus in social media marketing
Strong critical-thinking capabilities, including the ability to clearly articulate the “why” and the “what next” of a strategic insight
Knack for knowing what content resonates with different audiences
Passion for understanding cultural trends and consumer motivations
Ability to analyze performance across social media platforms to identify trends, learnings and implications from both a paid and organic perspective
Experience with social media management software (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Netbase, etc.)
Ability to work quickly and respond in-the-moment to consumers
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Content Management:
Develop and manage ongoing content calendars
Manage all posting across client social media platforms
Manage owned pages across social platforms
UGC collection and curation
Community Engagement:
Act as the voice of AMP’s clients on social media, responding to and engaging with consumers talking to/about the brand and category
Perform social listening across channels to keep a finger on the pulse of category, brand, and cultural conversations, identifying opportunities for brands to engage
Competitive Tracking:
Track core competitors’ social media messaging and initiatives
Track best-in-class brands on social
Social Expertise and Thought Leadership:
Cultivate a deep knowledge of social media behaviors across consumer segments, platforms, and verticals, used to inform how AMP’s clients advertise and engage across channels
Track and surface emerging platforms, tools, paid and organic offerings, advertising formats, and social media trends including developments as they relate to privacy and data
Develop best practices and POVs on how to engage on social and socialize them across the agency
Develop and execute strategies to reach/engage with audiences organically, including proactive engagement, surprise-and-delight initiatives, and more
Partner closely with the AMP creative and strategy teams to develop briefs and creative that will resonate with client communities and help reach social media objectives
Make strategic recommendations for how to best leverage emerging platforms, hashtags, and platform capabilities
Assist in annual evaluation of social listening and content publishing tools

Agency social POVs
Provides proactive input for the following deliverables:

Responsibilities
The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Strategist works closely with sales, merchandising, and advertising teams to build pay-per-click ad campaigns that drive sales on various e-commerce sites. This person plays an integral role in in outlining effective strategy and techniques for accounts, as well as implementing the paid search campaigns and presenting recommendations to clients.
This role requires a strong understanding of paid search and performance marketing to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns and continually exceed client expectations. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to shift focus to different types of projects, a quick learner, proficient with Excel and be able to work productively with various team members under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop campaign strategy to guide initiatives that will accomplish client’s business goals on various eCommerce sites
o Determine what tactics will best achieve the goals of each client (drive brand awareness, increase revenue, encourage loyalty etc.)
o Conduct research and determine appropriate keywords for campaigns
o Build allocations and determine the most appropriate way to distribute a client’s advertising budget
o Work with internal and external teams to determine company-wide marketing strategies and incorporate them into the paid search strategy
o Set appropriate KPIs and client expectations
Analyze campaign reports and present to client on a regular basis
o Analyze conversion rates, return on ad spend, and other relevant KPIs
o Track campaign performance through reporting tools
o Make suggestions for campaign improvement based on the findings discerned from analyzing reporting
o Communicate with clients regarding campaign updates and/or answer any questions regarding campaign performance
Drive tactical execution of the campaigns based on client expectations
o Assign tasks to coordinators to ensure campaigns are successfully set up and regular reporting is generated
o Optimize pay-per-click ad campaigns for best performance
o Monitor campaigns, budgets and performance

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
1-3 years of experience in Digital Marketing, eCommerce or related field, preferably in an Agency environment
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results
• Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and reasoning skills
• Advanced computer skills, proven proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Google AdWords and Tableau experience a plus
• Amazon Advertising experience a big plus

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
