How will you make an impact?

The eBusiness Strategic Programs – Commerce Enablement will be responsible for the development and execution of eBusiness strategy for two world-class Thermo Fisher Scientific websites: fishersci.com and thermofisher.com. Additionally, the team member will build a roadmap for and execute on business eCommerce enablement objectives – growing the portfolio capability set to represent the breadth of the company portfolio.

What will you do?

  • Analyze sophisticated business needs as presented by both internal and external customers and partners and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Special projects as assigned in connection with the eBusiness goals and strategy to drive sales goals and optimization of site-wide key performance indicators

  • Support and influence eCommerce Strategy and Execution for major Thermo Fisher Scientific web properties

How will you get here?

Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Ecosystem Partnerships, you will help in deployment of key critical initiatives with a focus on commerce enablement, strategic fact base and landscaping exercises. We work closely with business partners and eBusiness product management team members to implement the broader strategic vision in a tangible, executable manner for the teams. Individuals in this role will need to balance a high-level technical understanding of systems and processes with a strong ability to lead business requirements definition and execution throughout a given program.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing from an accredited higher learning institution required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Consistent track record in building strong and positive relationships with experience working across matrixed organization

  • Experience in aligning cross-cultural, cross functional and virtual teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Global project management with experience in defining and executing projects with often high levels of ambiguity

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to learn quickly, to grasp new initiatives/problem statements and how they fit into the context of the overarching eBusiness strategic goals

  • Results driven, with an ability to guide teams to decisions in order to meet commercial targets

  • Able to interact expertly, and adapt communication to accommodate diverse groups, including internal sponsors at higher levels in the organization

  • Comfortable managing projects and timelines within a matrixed organization
