Location/Division Specific Information

The Downstream Marketing Specialist is part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) which accelerates innovation and improves productivity through process, portable and environmental solutions that take technology from the lab to the line and the field for life sciences manufacturing, industrial and safety applications.

How will you make an impact?

The role will drive the execution of all our downstream marketing activities, including campaign and program prioritization. The Marketing Specialist will support the marketing leadership for their assigned product portfolio in one of our three business units (Environmental & Process Monitoring, Field & Safety Instruments, Materials & Minerals) will establish the annual marketing plans for the portfolio and lead the overall efforts to execute the demand generation and lead conversion efforts for the portfolio.

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of business ownership, marketing expertise, leadership, agility, and communication clarity and will inspire with data & metrics.

What will you do?

  • Develop, own, and execute the downstream marketing plan for the assigned portfolio and enable the business to meet its bookings and revenue projections within that portfolio.

  • Lead and guide the development of copy and creative content for identified markets, appropriately positioning products within compliance guidelines, while conveying strong value propositions and concise storytelling.

  • Create and implement appropriate marketing content across multiple channels, including social media, web, video, print, and more.

  • Develop and manage a robust lead generation funnel.

  • Design target campaigns based on real demands of customer segments and combine product knowledge, market understanding to prepare impactful campaign content and channel materials

  • Establish and evaluate key performance metrics and maintain monthly and quarterly metrics reports on marketing activities, efficiency and business impact including demand generation, website and email marketing analytics.

  • Develop relationships with key customers

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business (BA) or related field; will consider equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in either downstream or regional marketing, marketing communications, marketing analytics, digital marketing, or similar role.

Travel

Domestic and International travel 20% or less of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong project management, consulting and problem-solving skills.

  • Expertise working with and analyzing data from SFDC (CRM), Eloqua (Marketing Automation), Adobe Analytics (website analytics), and Tableau (data visualization), or similar platforms.

  • Experienced developing scalable, digital marketing campaigns and lead generation initiatives.

  • Ability to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriately.

  • Ability to align growth ambitions, with marketing tactics, budgets, and external vendors.

  • Inventive in solving problems.

  • Standout colleague with excellent written / verbal communication and team skills.

  • Strong organizational doer with keen attention to detail.

  • Proactive, engaged, and accountable.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and be results oriented to achieve tasks in a matrix environment.
