Alexion Pharmaceuticals Director, US Marketing, NMOSD in Boston, Massachusetts
This position can be remote/virtual, based anywhere in the United States and may require up to 30% travel, could involve weekend programs.
Position Summary and Principal Activities
The Director of Marketing will co-lead and execute on strategies and tactics for NMOSD - a rare, devastating, complement-mediated disorder of the central nervous system characterized by relapses. The candidate will report to the Executive Director of US Marketing – NMOSD. Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and drive strategy for US NMOSD business
Cultivate strong relationships with cross functional teams including external vendors, finance, and the field sales organization to ensure seamless execution and tracking of marketing activities and tactics
Design integrated outreach and communication plan for key stakeholders (neurologists, key accounts, societies, etc.)
Develop deep customer insights through market research, advisory boards and ongoing KOL Engagements to inform marketing strategy and tactics
Collaborate closely with Global Vision team and other launch markets to ensure alignment and share best practices
Manage budgets and resources
Communicate effectively to all levels of Alexion staff and management
Works with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Candidate will play a key role in developing effective partnerships with key opinion leaders and work collaboratively across many cross-functional teams.
This person must possess a strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, within teams, and as a sub-team lead
Demonstrated leadership and successful results driven performance in U.S. marketing roles
Significant and successful sales experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology
Strong scientific orientation and background; experience in Neurology preferred
Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Strong strategic, organization, planning and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
