Job Description

The Director of Trend Analytics and Insights provides leadership and strategic direction to a function of the Reporting & Analytics team within Prime. The Director’s responsibilities include the oversight of reporting and analytic services provided to internal and external clients, process improvements, quality assurance programs/initiatives, and ensuring the effective and consistent application of analytic offerings between clients and across business units.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the work of a team of analysts to ensure that client standard and ad-hoc projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner

  • Serve as knowledge expert for complex client analytical work and develop self sufficiency in end users through effective training and troubleshooting initiatives

  • Evaluate all requests for change in reporting scope or requirements, development of user acceptance and deployment plans, coordination of training, and other necessary support plans for client group

  • Lead the development of analytic methodologies, models, reports and new products to serve the needs of internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead the analytic plan creation, budget management, project prioritization, and analytics objectives for designated team

  • Develop reporting capabilities for new and existing Prime products to support internal business partners, clients, and/or pharmaceutical manufacturers

  • Develop and execute programs associated with quality assurance and performance guarantees

  • Serve as thought leader in the design, prioritization and execution of strategic projects to improve ROI and analytic maturity

  • Direct the efforts associated with the migration and adoption of new enterprise analytic technology and processes for all analytic requests (i.e. Prime Analytics Ecosystem platform)

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 8 years of PBM, benefits consulting, medical, or financial services experience

  • 5 years of management/people leadership experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with analytic tools (like SAS, SPSS, SQL programming, R, Python, native Google Cloud Platform tools, and visualization tools like Tableau) and Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively present complex information to a variety of levels within an organization

  • Ability to build a collaborative team and work effectively across functions, disciplines and/or other groups

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Statistics, Applied Analytics, or related field

  • Extensive Pharmacy Benefit Management and healthcare experience

  • Experience conducting pharmaceutical and/or medical trend, financial, and benefit analyses

  • Experience using statistical modeling principles to mine big data for the most important insights and to create population-relevant benchmarking.

  • Extensive consulting experience

  • Extensive experience using analytic tools

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Senior Director or VP in the Consulting Analytics department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $120,300.00 - $192,300.00 based on location, experience and skills.
