The Director Technology Product Management for our highly innovative Tax & Accounting North America Division will lead a team of product owners that are responsible for driving and reporting progress to stakeholders in a complex business context where the product deliverables are primarily technology platforms consumed by other applications and business services within North America. These platforms require high performance and availability solutions that can rapidly meet changing business requirements so the successful candidate will be very familiar with delivery of cloud solutions and the associated technology while being focused on high availability of the delivered solutions.
The Director Technology Product Management is also responsible for providing strategic direction of those platforms and providing clear documentation and business justification of the priority decisions made across multiple products, solving complex competing delivery challenges in a creative and high-quality manner. The person in this role will frequently engage with VP and C-Level executives.
This team is responsible for delivering high quality, scalable, secure and industry leading solutions in a heavily regulated dynamic market.
The person in this role and work remote and be located anywhere in the U.S.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a team of product owners responsible for delivering executable plans incorporating maintenance and new initiatives to serve existing and future customers
Prioritize between and within multiple roadmaps with complex stakeholders
Create feature and technology roadmaps to deliver high quality scalable solutions to business needs
Work hand in hand with other Product Development leaders and P&L senior product management leaders to identify future needs
Determine and communicate departmental strategy and implementation plans
Drive corporate and divisional strategies within your department
Participate in departmental budget and scheduling to ensure accountability
Education - BS degree or equivalent experience
Requires 8-10 years’ experience leading Agile Software development teams
Minimum 3 years’ prior Director level experience with experience in direct team management
Requires working knowledge of current cloud hosting technologies and the techniques required to deliver highly available solutions in the cloud
Presentation and communication skills for C-Level executive interaction
Experience in technology product management at the platform delivery level.
